Took my bun to the vet for the first time today and they picked him up and I almost cried since he was so scared he literally ran into my arms trying to hide. He’s been sleeping most of the time since we got home, along with eating and drinking, but he runs away from me and won’t let me touch him without backing up. What’s wrong with him? Please help

Sounds like he needs some time to relax from the vet visit. Give him a little of his favorite food or pellets and leave him be for a bit would be my advice. You don’t want to overwhelm him with handling if it isn’t necessary.

How is your bun doing now? My bun Bam used to jump into my arms when we were at the vet.

Many rabbits will give you the bunny butt after a vet visit. You can often bribe them to forgive you with a treat or two after a couple of hours.

He was still ignoring me the day after but I gave him a few of his favourite treats and left him alone for a bit. He’s now a very happy bun again, thank you.

Glad to hear he’s back to normal.
