Help me identify what breed my rabbit is?

I’ve had my bunny for some time now and no one knows what breed she is. I think she is some sort of Dutch mix, but I’m sure. In case the picture isn’t enough, I’ll put a detailed description.

Her body type seems to be either compact or commercial. She weighs somewhere between 5-8 pounds, but I don’t know for sure since I can never get her to sit on a scale. Her fur is black and white in a broken pattern, and is somewhat glossy. On the black patches of her fur, there are sparse white hairs that stick out more than the rest. Her fur is average in length, and a little dense in some areas. However, the fur on the back of her head and around her ears are a little longer and wispier than the rest.

I looked online for broken New Zealand mixes and they look just like her. So I think that’s my answer.

I was looking at the shape of her head and ears. They look New Zealand-ish. She might be mixed with a little smaller breed since you said she’s under 8lbs.

The easiest way to weigh a small wiggly animal is to: weigh yourself, note the weight, pick up the animals an hold it securely, weigh yourself holding the animal, subtract your actual weight from your weight holding the animal.

Do New Zealand have to come up to 9 to 12 pounds ?

I’m sure there are smaller individuals in the gene pool. I think 12lbs is just the maximum weight allowed under breed standards.
