My bunny Olly is coming up 2 and usually loves his vegetables, usually takes your hand off when you put his bowl down.
This morning I gave him his vegetables and he came racing over, but when I came back later, he hadn’t eaten any, which is extremely out of character, usually he eats 3/4 of it before I come back, he’s eating nuggets/straw and going to the toilet, pretty sure he’s drinking, but for Christmas I got him a present stocking from pets at home, and they came with a rope ball which he loves to chew and some chewable sticks what he seems to love, I’ve stopped giving him the sticks because they seem sharp and I’m scared incase they harm him inside, I’m sure they’re safe but I’m not taking the chance.
His behaviour is normal, but he had a stage where he completely stopped eating last year, so I’m probably just being an over protective bunny parent, but does anyone know why he may not be eating his vegetables?

Sometimes my bunnies get tired of eating certain vegetables. You might try offering him different vegetables? If he is eating his other food and drinking/pooping, etc, I wouldn’t worry too much. Did he seem excited to eat but then gave up? Next time you give him veggies you should watch him and note any unusual behavior, it may give you clues as to why he doesn’t want to eat his veg.

Did you do anything different about the veggies? I.e., a different plate, different veggies, etc.?

I don’t think it’s a problem as long as he’s pooping and eating his regular food and hay. It might’ve just been something different about the setup of the veggies you gave him. Did you perhaps put on a perfume or something before giving him his veggies which might’ve turned him away from them?

I always give him the same vegetables, and the same amount of vegetables a day

Is he chewing the rope ball at all? Rope will not be safe to ingest, I don’t think it’s the cause of why he’s off his veggies, but something to consider. It’s very strange that he would be off his veggies but not his other food.

I’ll take his rope ball out, we went to the shops and got him some new vegetables, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, peas, he’s loving them, he’s not eaten all of it again, but he only seems to be taking it when I give it to him, only eating some out his bowl
