        About time I introduce the boys here, been a long time lurker, well since February and I thought I should start to contribute back to what has been a very valuable tool in the first 8 months of rabbit ownership for us.

        Here they are;

        The white/grey one is Hercules and the grey one is Thor, they are roughly 10 months old and we got them at 6 weeks old.

        They went through one rough patch at 4 months old but we had then neutered and then they were best buds again almost in an instant.

        Hercules is very shy, quite unsure of his surroundings so we think he may have a vision deficiency, he loves to stretch out and relax and he has the most amazing hair-do. He is usually the lookout when him and Thor are up to no good!

        Thor is cheeky and adventurous, he likes to explore and destroy (carpets, paperwork and even had a chew of my newly issued combat boots). His favorite spot is hidden in the corner of our bedroom wardrobe.

        They have free range to the whole upstairs in our brand new 3 bed house, which in hindsight was probably too much as they are still small. We let them live in the 3rd bedroom and then play and hide in the other rooms which they love! They always zoom between the rooms and its great to watch!

        Anyway, howdy and thanks for the info and help so far!

                  Thanks for the welcome all.

                  Yeah, £2000 worth of carpets and so far we have holes in all 3 bedrooms and the hall upstairs! Oh well! Its not in their personalities to be caged or in a small run.

                  We call him Mr Mustache;

                    JNg, that really is a great photo !! He looks like the (british) horse race commentator that talks about the odds really quickly so you can’t understand him, lol (sorry if you don’t like him..my Mum’s just said she doesn’t like him!! )

                    He looks like a (very) long lost cousin of our own Podge on BB….. LOL

                          Thank you all for the great welcome.

                          They are amazing, to be honest I was against getting them but as soon as I saw them I knew that I had to have them, luckily they were together from very young so they were already used to each other.

                          I’ve just finished sowing grass seed in our new garden so very soon they’ll be allowed outside too! 160m2 of space for them as I’m going to install rabbit mesh to keep them from burrowing under our fence.

                          Oh, and I’ll get right to editing my profile!

                            Since you have been “lurking” LOL, you probably know that it’s very important to vaccinate your rabbits in the UK (I’m assuming you’re in the UK since you wrote the pound-sign). There’s the myxo-RHD and there’s a new vaccine against RVHD2, Ask your vet about those vaccines before you allow your buns outside -actually it’s not even recommended to forage outside for them before they’ve had their jabs.
                            But you might be well aware of this, so I’m just saying it to make extra sure.

                              Bam, don’t make me sound creepy lol

                              Yeah I live in the UK, Glasgow to be more precise although I’m originally from the US (NJ).

                              We got them vaccinated in March about a month after we got them, I’m not sure which ones we got as but my fiancee says we got the myxo-RHD one but not sure about the other. I’ll try and find out.

                              They wont be outside for another few months until the grass is fully grown in.  Thanks for the info though! Always appreciated.

                                JNg – You must be creeeeeeepy if you prefer Glasgow over NJ…. how long did it take to “tune” into the accent?

                                  Haha no choice! I was 7 when I moved here when my parents got divorce, been here ever since. Although I have 2 passports so it makes it easier for me to travel, so for that I’m thankful.

                                  No Scottish accent, we’ll so I’m told anyway… thank goodness!

                                    Ask you vet about the RVHD2-vaccine, it hadn’t come to the UK in March. You only got it this summer and there’s a big shortage in most parts of Europe. So do consult with your vet

                                        Ah now, then James, come come now.
                                        A wee scottish accent can be a lovely thing to have – but a very broad Glaswegian accent is something else to foreign ears.

                                        To those who don’t know the Glaswegain accent…. it could be worse than this… check out 0.43 secs Lily Tomlin not quite getting it…
