Hello! been a rabbit owner since 2010! Glad to be among fellow bunnylovers!

My avatar pic holding Labit in 2012, my 2nd generation female bunny born on Dec 2010 in our garden. Her parents were my first rabbits bought from a pet shop on June 2010. When Labit was 2 months old, my niece ask to have her and a sibling as a pet, things go on ok until after a month my niece got tired of them and abandon them in a warehouse. I retrieve her back to my home ( her sibling got sick and  died in the warehouse, I buried her). She grew up to a fine rabbit until I had her mate with our church buck. sadly she died on Mar 2013 giving birth to a kit. I managed to raise her kit for 2 weeks until it died of unknown cause right after a vet visit!

Many rabbits later…

Currently I have a 2 month old female named BABY.

Gee Wilson62, I’m a little lost for words – I am so sorry for your loss/s. Sorry you haven’t had any replies yet – some may find your story a little to sad, even confronting. I really hope everything works out for you and your ‘Baby’ – have you set her up with a home and are giving her all the right food for such a young bunny? We love (if not demand, ha ha hah) photo’s here of all new bunnies (so we can ooh and ahh over them) and most of us like to see pic’s of bunny homes (so we can compare, such good fun – mine is maybe the worst, but my Henry is free range, so I get a free pass, lol!). Is there anything your not sure about? We are so good here at sharing our experiences and can offer suggestions if your ever worried about even the simplest thing. Without knowing anything really about your Baby, I can only suggest you get her spayed as soon as she is old enough. Other than that, till you tell us more I’m not sure I can add anymore other than to say I assume she is beautiful and your being a wonderful dad, especially considering your previous experience’s. (& promise me, you’ll never let your niece babysit!). Oh, and I guess this goes without saying??? Because I suggested she gets spayed (for her ‘girl’ health), please don’t let her have babies – she will be much more happier sharing her life with you, not a boyfriend. Cheers Wilson62.

Welcome! Sorry about your past losses. Glad you found BB. Look forward to seeing you on here. It would be nice to see pics of Baby as well. We all love rabbit pictures. hehe
