i own only one rabbit at the moment, and her name is Sienna. honestly even after all of this time it still sounds like a strange name to me – unnatural, but not in, like, a good sort of way where the name is simply unique. oh well.
i’m sure everyone has different opinions about it, but Sienna does live alone, as previously mentioned. i try my best to relax on the floor with her at least once daily, but honestly i typically do it more often. she’d let me pet her for hours on end, and i’m sure i’ve done so before. she often doesn’t really cuddle up to me – i think i waited far too long to start bonding with her like this – but if i’m sitting on the floor with my laptop she’ll occasionally rest against my leg or the back of the computer, and i can lure her into my lap or onto my stomach with a treat or some pellets.
her story is pretty long, but basically i planned to buy a rabbit from a breeder, and as i was waiting for my favorite color to be available someone contacted the breeder and asked if they took in rabbits. they didn’t, but lucky for me the breeder contacted us (as in me and my mom) and told us about the rabbit. even more lucky for me was the fact that the rabbit was one of my favorite colors. the ride was long and chaotic, but it was totally worth it, not to mention i gave a rabbit who needed a new home a second chance rather than spending money on a rabbit that would have a good home no matter what.
aside from Sienna, i have a few other animals as well. i’m an owner of 4 different cats (none of them are really fully allowed in my room, especially when Sienna is out), a crested gecko named Disco, and a betta. i also have a spare 35 gallon that i wish to use as a home for gerbils or telescope goldfish. i love all of my animals and i’m trying to do my best to care for them all correctly.
