My husband and I got our little girl, Willow, last January! I always wanted a pet rabbit (I had one when I was little – it was very anti-social though) and so we went to the pound to look. Most of the bunnies were very stand offish and so we left the rabbit area and were about to leave the pound. As we approached the door, a person started coming in with a dog, and I’ve always had a fear of dogs. My hubby noticed one rabbit though in a glass cage in the main room, so he brought me over there to avoid the dog. This bunny was so sweet and curious from the first moment we laid eyes on her! It took only moments for us to realize she was the bunny for us and that’s how we got her.
She has been lots of fun this past year. They didn’t know at the pound how old she is but the vet told us last year about 1-1/2 years old. She has full access to the house and is surprisingly non-destructive. Anytime she does try something, she quickly scampers off if we come in the room. She’s always doing binky’s (we call them her “happy hops”), the Bunny 500, and she loves being stroked! She’s very loving and licks us all the time too. Of course, the other week we got caught up cleaning the house and she decided to snub us that evening. It was our first time being really snubbed by her and boy did she do it well.
Although, she was named after the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” character Willow (because she works her magic oh so well), she has fallen in love with Dawson’s Creek reruns and will pretty much watch anything that has James van der Beek on the screen. I think she has a crush
Anyways, whenever I have a question or get worried about her I always seem to end up finding the answers on this website! So I thought it was about time I sign up and meet everyone! Plus, I just adore talking about her and would love to have some fellow bunny lovers to discuss with!

And yup, tanlover14. I’m Jewish and my husband is Christian so this was Willow’s first celebration of the two. She also got some of her presents early
Of course, my mom (who refers to Willow as her “grand bunny”) was planning to get her a gift and then decided she’d get it for Willow’s “birthday” in January. And thank you for the compliment on our fireplace!! We’re still trying to figure out how to decorate it year round but the holiday decorations turned out great!

You welcomed me back to the site, so I thought I’d welcome you! Wow, you were right! Willow and Iris are quite similar! She is one of the only other black and white bunnies I’ve seen with the same kind of markings. They nearly have the same faces! She is absolutely adorable, and from the story about how you got her, it’s clear that she was meant for you!
