Hi I’m Erin and I have already been on this site before with my rabbit Jinx who’s a black and white mixed rabbit, but I just recently got another bunny named  Judy she’s a black Holland lop who’s 4 months old and also the sweetest, I wasn’t gonna get another bunny until I looked at rescues and tried Bunny dating with Jinx but then this woman I know decided to get a bunny for her kids for Easter 😳..anyway they realized how much work rabbits are and so I took her, I have had her for almost a week now and I have quarantined her away from Jinx for a week and I have a Vet appt this weekend to make sure she’s healthy so far she’s eating, pooping, peeing, drinking and she’s starting to learn to use her liter box so far she’s great no problems but just wanted to introduce her and stuff 💚🐇

Thanks for introducing her, and thank you for taking in this rabbit — indeed, many rabbits suffer around this time of year once the family learns how much work pet rabbits may be. Please feel free to link any pictures of Judy :).

As a reminder, you will want to keep Judy and Jinx separated not only for health-quarantine reasons, but also since they are not properly bonded. You can see our bonding information here to familiarize yourself with the bonding process: https://binkybunny.com/infocategory/bonding/

            Pictures! ^_^

It’s so sweet of you to take her in, and I  hope she’s healthy! Hope that the bond between them works as well.

Yes, it’s crazy that there’s this Easter tradition of giving rabbits. It’s seems to be mostly in the Anglo-Saxon countries though. I’ve been campaigning for “Make Mine Chocolate” on social media, and most continental European people had never heard of giving rabbits for Easter. They thought it was bizarre.

Yes as I said I’m keeping her quarantined away from Jinx for health reasons but yes also cause they are not yet bonded..I will try to bond them later but only after I’m sure Judy’s healthy and she’s spayed.

That’s wonderful! We’ve had a few Easter-rescues on the forum recently, I’m glad you were able to take her!

I had never heard of giving live rabbits as Easter presents until fairly recently.  Though that could be just living in my own bubble as much as anything.  I do remember hearing of people giving chick’s and ducklings which is equally irresponsible. Anyway, thanks for taking her in and wishing her a healthy vet visit!  Also I think photos are in order! 🐰

Yes, it can be a bit fickle at times. Sometimes it only works if you go to your own profile and upload the photo there under the tab “photos”.

Then you can open the topic and click “add media”.

Oh…my…goodness… She is so cute! 😍

I have such a soft spot for dwarfs and black coat colours. Her fur looks so luxurious and soft!
