Hello! I’m back!!!

 Hi everybody here at BinkyBunny!!! It’s been ages since I last posted. I am owned by two bunnies, Baileys and Lemoncello. Baileys is brown male Holland lop and Lemoncello is a white-grey female Holland Lop. They are 1 and a half old now. I also have 5 dogs and 2 cats. The reason I have been away for so long is that I adopted a little girl last October (Marina) and she has kept me busy and happy. I took some time off from most of my activities to enjoy my new motherhood and bond deeply with Marina who is now two years old and beautiful!!!! I also wanted to devote a lot of time for my animals to get used to her and viceversa, and God! Did that work out fine! They love one another. To be honest, she still does not interact too closely with Baileys and Lemon, unless I can supervise closely, her fine motor skills are not that sharp yet, and I am afraid she might hurt them. She only pets them if I am ready to take her hand if her love for them becomes too strong, you know what I mean… But, so far, so good, I have also been teaching her how to pet the rest of the animals gently. 

I am so happy to see so many familiar bunnies still around and so many new ones coming in!! I do not want ot make this too long and boring. I will  try to post often so as to keep you updated on my latest chores as a bunny slave and a human mom!! I am posting some pics!

PS: I have been trying to upload some pics, but they are all too big!! I’ll see if I can work on that so that you can see how all my babies are doing!

Hi Bunstheboss, I was a relatively new member to the forums when you were on here more. I did remember reading about an international adoption but I must admit, I had to read back on your post about it to recall the details.  It’s lovely to hear now, a year on, that bringing home your little girl  has been a joy.  You must share about that life changing trip!

May I ask…?  How long did you and your husband have to wait before you could actually bring a child home?  I know a couple who seem to be waiting forever to bring home their girl from China.  The family is ready, the child is needy, why does it take so long?  There seems so much bureaucracy to get through.  I just can’t understand why it is such a complicated process…  I mean, I think there should be thorough screening of the adoptive parents but after that, why don’t things move faster.  Sorry for all the questions.  I guess you may know about the frustrations all to well!  Thankfully that part is in the past and now you can just enjoy parenthood.

Would love to see some pictures.  The TECH forum may have some tips how to resize the pictures.  Pictures saved as jpegs load pretty easily.

I absolutely remember you! Welcome back!!! I agree, it is very important to take time off from non-essentials to spend with your new daughter and as an added bonus, the furkids are all doing great!

 Hi Jerseygirl. In my case, I just had to wait for 6 months, then I traveled to Russia twice. On the first trip we met Marina and started all the legal process. On the second trip, we attended the Hearing and we brought her home! There was a period of a month wait between the two trips. Hope everything works out fine for your friends! We are now blessed with the sweetest little girl.
