I have got a new blue Flemish Giant, Lion Head cross! she is so pretty and a real sweetheart! I could not ask for a better pet! I dont know how big she will get yet but she is 3 months old and the size of an avarage adult rabbit.
Welcome!!! I what you mean about showing off your bun!!! he he! Please post pics of you bun!!
we need pics!!!
Wow thats some crossing!
I am not sure how to add pics I tried but I dont see it
Go to the little mountain/sun, copy the url (right click image and copy image location) and paste it into the box ![]()
my 2 favorite types, I would be so excited to have that mix. You are so lucky.
Woah! I’ve never heard of them being mixed before. Can’t wait to see pictures!!!! Oh and welcome ![]()
Welcome! I can’t wait to see pics either. I keep trying to imagine my Abby with a mane! ![]()
Theres directions on how to upload pics directly to BB in the tech forum ![]()
I am having trouble putting up a pic but my Profile pic is of her!
Welcome! I find the easiest way to upload is to copy and paste the photo into paint and save (resizing if needed) and then try and upload ![]()

she is actually blue the pic she looks gray. I love her so much! when we bought her they told us she may become a mommy in 28 days so we are just watching and waiting I think she is to young to be a momma but I have to watch and see

WOW she’s huge!
And she’s beautiful! You’ll definitely want to look into getting her spayed, as females have a high rate of uterine cancer (after you make sure she’s not pregnant of course!).
ETA: oh, and we love pictures around here – so feel free to post as many as you want *cough cough* ![]()
omg I want her
Like I really need another bunny
got 5
Oh woww!!! She’s really cool looking. Oh and completely adorable ![]()

THANK YOU ALL! I have had several rabbits in the past but none compair to her!
Wow she’s quite the mutt! She’s also a bit of lop in her, as neither lionhead or flemish have down ears
And if the fur is all over her body and not just her neck and skirt, she’s more likely an angora mix than lionhead
Have you seen her parents? Whats her story? I want to see more photos!!! <3
ETA you also really should get her to a vet asap to make sure she’s healthy and not pregnant! And get her spayed, of course ![]()
i have a vet appointment set for her this week and I am going to set up a date to get her fixed. I dont have any other bunnies but never know I might get another for her a friend
oh she has a Story! momma was Flemish and daddy was said to be “Dwarf” Lionhead dont see how that is possible but you know! she was from an accident litter I was told a male got out and breeded with her mom. this is the story we were told. I just thought she was so adorable I had to have her. She does have really fulffy hair but she is also sheding a lot! her ears only lay down when she is completely relaxed and other time they are standing. she has the ears of a Flemish and the body size but not the fur. I dont know what to do if she does have babies because it would more than likely be from 1 her brothers, ut I dont like abortion even in animals. so i am very confused is 3 months old to young to breed?

She is SOOO cute! My cadbury is a Flemish Giant!, super laid back, and totally chill, as far a rabbits go anyway. Cadbury actually has papers, I have a 4 generation pedigree on him, and he’s tattoo’d on his ear, but I really could care less about the pedigree, the lady that had him, just said “Oh heres his papers…” I do like having it to remind me of his birthday though!
But what a mixture you have!….. I would say the vet could tell you for sure if she’s pregnant, I’m not sure about in-breeding in rabbits, something to research for sure!!!
=)
We’re not allowed to discuss breeding here at BB, right at the top, but inbreeding can go either way, its not necessarily a recipe for a abnormal bunny.
Can you get any pictures of her lying down? Or ears up? That would be so stinkin cute!

its hard to get one of her laying because she is so active she doesnt ever sit still until bed time. I have a Question for anyone that can answer or give me some advice. There is probably a forum for it but i havent looked. Would it be wise to keep her hair cut short? she has such fine hair and so fluffy that it matts easy and I have to cut them out. Its like every mornig she has another matt and I dont like seeing that!!!!

Sorry all her pics are on my Lap that is the only spot she wants to be she is only in her cage at night and free all day yet when she is out she stands on her back legs at my feet wanting in my lap. when she is down she also likes to pester our dog we still have to keep them seperate because we have a Lab and when she sees a bunny her instinct is to try to attack so we have to give her time to get accuainted with her and realize she is not food! Our dog is outside all day and we have a baby gate in the back door and Bella Bunny sits at the gate because she knows Sissy Dog cant get her but can see her.
Wow she sure is great to look at! She’s definitely got the Flemmie face, with lionhead ears that are flemmie sized, and just a crazy furry bod!!
Are you brushing her daily? You might have to do it twice daily with all that fuzz! Some of that fur should shed when she gets her adult coat, but if your finding she’s eating her fur or there is too many matts you might want to look into getting her trimmed, Idk. Here’s something on Angora grooming, it’ll be similar for your flemhead ![]()

yes I brush her with a cat brush 3 or 4 times a day. she is shedding pretty bad but not eating it. I thought about getting her trimed because she has SO much hair its crazy! She actually loves the cat brush she would be willing to let someone give her a good grooming. I figured most if it would probably fall out when she gets older its just a lot of baby fur.

This is Buggsy my sisters bunny and Bellas sister! I took this pic when she was over the other day!
Oh she looks so cute with her hair clips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bella she has to wear hair clips or else she cant see… all the hair gets in the way
OH MY GOSH!!! SO FLUFFY AND CUTE!!!!
*dies*
she needs to get groomed bad!!!
