Hi! Please call me Pheney. I’m a huge bunny enthusiast, and have been for many years. I’m not an owner currently, but after quite a lot of research on rabbits & such, I’ve gotten a hold of a local(ish) breeder and am planning on picking up two gorgeous Holland Lop (those floppy ears though) bucks which I’ve named them Quincy and Oakley, in early December. I still can’t believe it, and everything that’s come out of my mouth is chatter about bunnies.

I did own a rabbit several years ago. It was a spur of the moment decision, and I new next to nothing about bunnies, so I went by the seat of my pants. I bought the poor thing from a garage sale and five days later she was dead. I was determined not to make the mistake of being ignorant when adopting a bunny, and I’m pretty confident in myself (just ask my family. Half of the sentences that come out of my mouth about bunnies are “Did you know…”), so now all I have to do is wait.

My buns may just teach me (and surprise me!) far more than a webpage ever will. But still, expect to see me lurking around the forums, as I still have a long way to go.

Hi and Welcome to Binky Bunny!

This is a great place to learn about bunnies. I highly suggest you read all the great info here in the “Bunny Info” section.

You’ll definitely want to get your buns neutered so I suggest looking for a rabbit savvy vet before you bring your buns home.

Thank you for the welcome! We do have rabbit savvy vets in our area – I’ve made sure.

              Wellcome to the forums!
I’m glad you have rabbit-savvy vets in your area, in some places vets are pretty clueless about bunnies.

You’ll need to get your boys neutered as soon as when they are physically ready) to prevent big fights and difficult re-bonding. It’s really great that you’re doing a lot of research =) I was totally unprepared when I accidentally got my first bunny!

Thanks, bam and Vienna Blue in France! I’m picking them up tomorrow, and am definitely planning on getting them neutered when they’re ready.

Pheney – how are you going? Did you pick them up? Are they lovely? Got any photos?
Are you just so busy with them now?
                    Can’t wait to see them.
