Hello my name is Beckie and I am a second time rabbit owner but first time HOUSE rabbit owner to a bunny named Vettel. He is a 6 month old Lion head/ Ndwarf cross and has super pointy ears.

Joining the forum because it’s time to get little bun a girlfriend and want some advice, he is due to be fixed next week. He is coming up 6 months old now and has the most beautiful nature. He likes “chinning” everything in the house and is in love with my boyfriend. He follows him around the house everywhere, goes binky berserk when he gets home from work and circles him too…
Should I be worried about my relationship lol…???One of the main questions I wanted to ask was, since my rabbit is quite small would it be best to bond with a dwarf female too, or does it not matter?

I’m afraid I can’t see your pix of Vettel, If you go to the Tech Forum, you’ll find instructions on how to post pix inside your post, which may help.You need to wait for 4 full weeks after his neuter before he can come into contact with a female, because his hormones will have one last surge before they are ineffectual. Then he will be ready to date.
Circling your boyfriend, btw, is his amorous nature due to his hormones now, and it may stop or may not. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you too! Bunnies don’t need to be restricted to breed or size to bond, but a large bunny that’s aggressive has potential to be a bit more harmful if they don’t get along. A bunny will select another that they have a possible future with if you take them on “dates” – ie. bring your bunny to a shelter with other bunnies, and let them be introduced in a controlled setting there. The biggest mistake is when us slaves fall for a second cute bunny, and brings it home only to find their first bunny hates it. Some bunnies will be very happy with another they meet that is different in size and type, but you will have years of contentment in your home if they start out liking each other.
