Hello everbody! My name’s Beth and my baby’s name is Penelope. She’s a drawf lionhead and a spoiled brat! I’m pretty sure she’s about three and a half years old. A couple months after I got her she started to get this white stuff inside her eye…so I did my research and found a vet conveniently located right around the corner that is absolutely GREAT with bunnies! Many eye-drops and meds later, Penelope ended up losing complete vision in her left eye, and with fear of the infection spreading to the other eye, my vet and I decided the best thing to do was remove the eye. My worries that she wouldn’t adapt were soon busted when everything was completely healed and she acted no different than she did when she had two eyes. I do have to make sure she sees me before I pick her up so I don’t scare the crap out of her, but besides that you wouldn’t have any idea she was a handicapped rabbit.

The pictures are from when she was a baby, but the pictures of her now (which I can’t seem to find at the moment) are just the same. Her lounging around with one of the cats. I seriously think that Penelope thinks she is a cat, being that she’s outnumbered 5 to 1!

Awww, look at kitty grooming her, that is so precious!  Glad to have you.  Did you ever find out what the infection was? Just some random infection?  Have you had her for the 3 1/2 years?

My vet told me what the infection was, but I honestly can not remember the name. Bad memory lol
And I’ve had her for 3 of the 3 1/2 years

Welcome! Love the pic of kitty grooming Penelope who is precious – they both are. Also love the shot of her lounging in her E cuddle cup with the cat in the cage with her.

Thanks everybody! I’m just glad Penelope gets along with my kitties! I was worried when I first got her that I would have to keep them separated, but as you can see that was not the case
