› FORUM › THE LOUNGE › WELCOME ! › Hello from a UK chap!
Hello, thought I’d intruduce myself as I’ve been scouring this website for information for so long!
What a great website; just reading through various posts and the info on the main site has been a real inspiration (along with a copy of the House Rabbit Handbook of course!)
So, my name is Chris and my girlfriend and I have just adopted 2 beautiful Lionhead siblings from Lecoeur Rabbit Rescue here in Hampshire, UK. They were born in June 2009, so they are just about 5 months, give or take a week or so and they have lived in our lounge in a 4ft x 4ft puppy pen since Saturday. We’ve got another puppy pen, which we can open up to section off an area of the lounge, and the last 2 nights we’ve been sitting in there while they’ve been running around and binkying!
Pic attached.
The black one is called Ariel, and the grey/white harlequin is called Miranda. I need desperatley to post a question about them now, as they’ve just had their first fight and we’re a bit scared! ![]()
Oh my goodness, aren’t they adorable! ^_^ Hi, I just answered your post about the fighting, and like a silly thing prompted you to post pix when here you had them already set up.
Should’ve checked here first.
Once again welcome to BinkyBunny.com and I hope you find your stay here enjoyable! ![]()
Welcome! They’re so cute!!!! And yes, I stalked this website before joining too, lol.
Lols. I guess a lot of people stalked the website. I”m not sure why I didn’t . . . usually I do that. This site just had a sign that said *OVER HERE BUNNY SLAVE!!!! SIGN IN NOW!* Your bunnies are extremely adorable . . . so much cute. (Biased against Lionheads? *gasp* never!)
bienvenidos!! they are too adorable.
Hehehe! Thanks guys; they’re really funny as well. Miranda loves to look around and then “bunny flop” and they both did about 6 small binkies yesterday when we had them out for their playtime ![]()
This website is cool. There are a couple of UK specific ones, but I gleaned so much useful information from here I thought it’d be rude not to try to contribute or at least say hello ![]()
hi and welcome!
Beautiful sister bunnies.
It’s time to separate the two until they’re spayed. Separate them until one month after the surgery to avoid injuries. They can clean take each others’ ears off.
Now, what neat pellets are those? They look totally different than mine!
ROFL! Love the commentary! They’ve been separated now (lucky we had 2 pens) and will remain that way, like you said, until a month or so after they’ve been spayed.
The pellets are Supreme Science Selective. Jeana at the rescue centre reccomended them as they’re high in fibre (19% IIRC) and are nice and crunchy. The buns love ’em and they actually smell delicious but I havent been tempted to eat any yet…
I don’t think we have those in Canada. The pellets here are all cut short, maybe a third of an inch or 1 cm. The ones in your photo are very long and weird-shaped.
I am in a foolish mood:
Ariel with her ears up…
Ariel with her ears down
So I have just one question. Do your rabbits hop with a British accent?
bahahahahahaha markbun!!!
i bet they’re too proper to thump
or they do it with a pinky in the air!
i’m in love with british people. too bad there aren’t many in texas…. o.O
I LOVE your buns! *snuggle snuggle*
I so giggle every time I say that… hehehe
Welcome to BB!
Welcome – they are tooo gorgeous! Is Miranda really a lionhead with magpie harlequin colouring?!
So great!
You’ll find a lot of members here have ‘sampled’ some of our bunnies’ foods, just to see what attracts them to it so. ^_^ And beware, someone will start up again how some of us have accidentally swilled vinegar used for cleaning bunny pens. *whistles and looks around innocently*
I do love the magpie’s coloring. I’ve never seen it in a lionhead before either. How beautiful!
Not that solid black isn’t svelte also!
lol@Petzy. Smarty.
MarkBun, Behave! lol….British accents are completely cool. *nods* Especially from bunnies.

Indeed. For instance, they find it exceedingly bad-mannered if I walk past without doffing my hat and have instisted we turf over a section of the lounge so they can play cricket! ![]()
I actually went to Texas about 8 years ago for a couple of weeks to visit a couple of ex-pats. I can honestly say it was a bizarre culture shock, and nothing like I imagined. I had a really amusing conversation with a tall Texan chap (after a fair few whiskey sours) and after I’d been talking at him for about 10 minutes he said “Boy, I don’t understand a word you just said, you wanna cigar?!” ![]()
Awesome burgers though. Best ever. ![]()
Welcome to BB!! Your bunnies are absolutely adorable! I just love their puffy cheeks!
I think anyone from England is super lucky!!! I’m a huge English History buff but unfortunately have never been there. I’ll get there someday!
Welcome to you and your adorable twosome!
When asked where I would like to visit if I left the US, my first choice is always the UK.
*secretly builds up collection of bunny slaves to visit when there*

And demand tea and crumpets at four o’ clock sharp, no doubt
Now where did they put those floppy straw hats? Time to be off to Ascott for the races..

Hehe, well at the moment we’ve had persistent, heavy rain and gales for about 2 weeks now; it’s turned into a proper stormy and gloomy autumn
. I asked my rabbits and they’re definitly glad to be house-bunnies!
