Hello. I’m new to this forum, and a fairly new bunny mom. My bunny’s name is Elmer and he is about a year and a half. We adopted him a few months ago and just love him to pieces! We have a dog named Poppy and a cat Lucy, and everyone gets along great! When we adopted him, we were told he was a girl and the kids had named her Ruby. “she” never let me pick her up to check( and still wont), so we took his word, but after a couple of months, “she” started exhibiting unusual behavior for a female towards my cat!
So, he went to the vet, got fixed, and now his new name is Elmer. His neuter has calmed his urges, but he is still a very hyper bun. I hope he learns to chill out with age. He is a very good boy tho; has learned to leave all cords alone, learned not to get up on the end tables or any other place I have told him he cant get up on, he learned a couple of tricks, and litter box trained, but digs all his litter out of the pan! I got him a screen, he flings it out of the pan! I give him plenty of toys and lots of freedom(he has run of the house when we are home), but he insists on “rearranging” his room like a maniac! We do love his personality tho. He is quite a character! And he seems to really love the home we made for him. He is madly in love with our cat(but not in that way anymore), and she really likes him, too. They are so sweet together. I just love being a bunny mom and my husband loves being a bunny dad,too. We never thought having a bun would be so rewarding! I’m so happy to join this forum with fellow bun/animal lovers 
Hope someone can tell me what kind a bunny he is?
