I have one rabbit. A dwarf lion head, Frodo Baggins. He is a rescue and we guess he is about 4 1/2. My roommate worked at Petsmart and some lady brought him in saying that he was to much to handle with her kids. So my roommate brought him home and he joined our pack of dogs. That was 2 1/2 years ago now. He is the first and probably only rabbit till I can get a place of my own but that won’t be for a few years,
Frodo is the devil. I swear. LOL. He was not neutered when I got him so he was very territorial. And very nippy. He calmed down a bit after he got fixed but in a household with 4 dogs and 2 cats he needs to be bossy. he rules over all but one dog. He was never afraid of the dogs which made introductions a breeze. I even had to be careful because he would deliberately jump onto my 17 pound rat terrier and kick at him to claim Parker’s bed. My dog was scared of him for awhile. Still kinda is if Frodo decides to charge him.
he has gotten better with people. But he has never seemed to interested in us. He helped raise a litter of four kittens (2 of which I kept) and he has bonded to them. He currently resides in a 10×4 x-pen enclosure. He did have free reign of the apartment if he so chose before we moved. However we moved in June and he lost his room. He needs to be penned because of all the dogs. The newest terrier/Chihuahua is a brat in regards to him (acts all tough when he is in his pen, tries to play; when out screeches in terror when Frodo charges her) and Lola the pitty while great when calm with him, now, cannot be unsupervised.
As for me, I have worked with animals since I was 18 (currently almost 25). Specifically rescue and adoption which is where all the animals in the house come from. I currently an a vet tech in a dog and cat hospital but still work Part time at PAWS. Love to read
