After more than year and a half of reading posts almost everyday, I think it is time to introduce our little Bumblebunny and to say thank you to everyone for the valuable information that I hope has helped us provide a good home for him.
We found him hopping down the street. He seemed fairly healthy except for a crusty discharge around his nose. The HRS listed a vet close by and we took him in. (two of the three vets at the clinic specialize in rabbits and one of them keeps saying he is one of the more handsome rabbits he sees) Bunny was on antibiotics for three weeks and everything cleared up. We think he was probably someone’s pet because he took to litterboxes immediately and was not really afraid of people. In the months before he was neutered there were very few accidents outside the litterbox and none since.
He lives in a 4′ x 4’ 3 level NIC home when we are not home during the day . When we are home he can run around the living room and dining room. He refuses to go in the kitchen because of the slippery floor, but if we are in the kitchen he hops over to see what is going on. He loves to play chase around the dining room table and chairs. When we have time we take him outside to an enclosed patio.
Outside in patio begging for a treat.
Checking what is going on outside
Resting with his friend after eating
Holiday lunch
He loves his BB mixture of oat wheat and orchard hay
