  Hello all! First time bunny owner in about five or so years!
  
  His name is Jasper!
  
  While shopping around for some other supplies I saw Jasper and Sweet Pea. I’ve wanted another bunny for sometime, but I was planning on waiting a little longer, but they were in a 1×1 wire cage (ALL wire.) It was deadly hot outside and they were panting like crazy. Me and my sister felt so bad and decided we would take them.
  
  We were sold two bonded females. Jasper turned out to be a boy and they were NOT bonded at all. They only SEEMED like it because they were to tired to even try anything.
  
  Long story short, after nine months Sweet Pea past away.
  
  It’s been about 13-14 months now with Jasper and after some struggles he is strong and active! There were some ups and downs, and I think he was abused, but he has some trust in humanity now. He even sleeps in my bed! (He’s not neutered yet, but he is litter trained.)
  
  Anyways, thats the summary of our story!
  
  P.S. The photo below (If it uploads…) he was in his quarantine cage.

  Hi Sammie, welcome to BB! That is so sad about Sweet Pea… Pet stores know nothing about rabbits, it’s frustrating that they even sell them in the first place! Especially around Easter time, god knows how many bunnies will be caged up for most of their lives b/c people buy them for their kids to play with. How was Jasper after Sweet Pea was gone? If he was abused before you got him, it sounds like he’s in a much happier and better place with you =)

  I agree, I think they should only sell the supplies, but even that they tend to fail on. Kids usually only want to play with the bunnies and have no idea how to actually care for them. There are going to be so many ads for unwanted rabbits next month…
  When Jasper and Sweet Pea regained health, they actually fought all the time and had to be separated right away, so he never grieved.
  From where I got them I honestly think they were going to be sold as snake food. The guys at this particular place just tell you what you want.
