Hello. My name is Star, I’m 36 years old and I live in Pittsburgh, PA. I am married, I do not work outside the home but I am full-time caregiver for my mother-in-law.
I have had many pet bunnies over the years, starting when I was 10. My current bunny is named Luna, she is a spayed female, about 1 1/2 years old. I believe she is a New Zealand, or some mix thereof. She weighs about 12 pounds. Luna spends most of her time in a large enclosure my husband and I built for her. I think she’s a pretty happy, healthy bunny – but I am always looking to do better for my critters so I am happy to have found this forum to join.
I also have two dogs, a four and a half year old American Pit Bull Terrier named Moira, and a five year old pit bull/Aussie mix named Lala. And we have 8 cats currently – five of our own and three “fosters”. We spent the summer trapping and fixing/vaccinating several feral cats on my mother-in-law’s property and still have a couple of the kittens we are vetting/socializing/rehoming. We still care for the feral cats outdoors on the property, as well as an abandoned and/or escaped rooster that moved into the yard a couple of years ago.
Here are a few pictures of my LunaBun:

We have since made a few adjustments to her pen, such as adding slats to the ramp so she can climb it easier and be safe. We also changed the flooring on the shelf to a compressed cardboard since she was trying to nibble on the linoleum. I think it will always be a work in progress.
I guess that’s a long enough intro post.
Looking forward to meeting folks and joining in the bun fun!
