Hello! I am new here…….have never had bunnies prior to this summer. Was at a small chicken sale and someone was selling baby bunnies. They had a bunch all squashed into a wire cage in the sun with no shade for hours. I felt sorry for them and bought 2 girls for $3 each. a little black lionhead and a gray rex (i think). The black bunny was incredibly overheated and although I got her cooled off and acting normally within a day, she died the following weekend
I went to craiglist to find a buddy bunny for the remaining gray bunny (now named Stella)…..and found a cute little lionhead mix. Brought her home but kept her separate under quarantine…..and then she grew testicles LOL. Darn it.
So until I can get Monroe the new bunny neutered they live separately.
I just built them a new cage. Stella on top, Monroe on the bottom. I had started building this cage as a single multi level unit for the 2 “girls’….but had to extend the middle floor to allow for separate cages for the bunnies.

I don’t know much about bunnie and am learning as i go, however I have all sorts of other animals….dogs, cat, horse, ducks, chickens…..the bunnies will fit right in eventually.
