Curry is a Red Netherland Dwarf, she’s almost 6 months old, hasn’t been spayed yet but it’s on the cards. I haven’t had her vaccinated yet either because I’ve been told she’s been too young and Christmas got in the way, but I plan to get this all done soon. we’re starting to bond lots properly, she’s currently running around the living room and jumping up on the sofa to see me, which is adorable.
She understands commands and is fully toilet trained, she’s very shy so doesn’t like being picked up but loves a cuddle when she’s come to see me. She likes to nip but I think she means it affectionately because she licks at the same time.
I must say, being a bunny mum is very different to what I am used to. We used to have rats but the heartbreak of loosing them every couple of years and we decided a Bunny was the best thing for us as we wanted a pet who lasts longer than that.
The set up I have for her is very basic, she isn’t interested in many of the toys I have given her because I think she is too busy exploring the living room but I have plans for an agility course and a bunny ball pit at some stage for her. She’s got a cage for now but I willl be changing that to something a bit less restricting for her, while she’s still young, she likes the safety of the cage.
She used to have a little ‘Sister’ but she unfortunately died early december of EC, caused by the mother according to the vets so Curry has a course of Panacur as a precaution. We will have to give it to her once a year now but she is healthy in comparison and I have hope yet.
I have tried to post a photo but not sure if it’s worked or not.
Bye for now!
