Hello!
I am very glad that I stumbled upon this website while looking for homemade toy ideas for my newly acquired rabbit! My sister had purchased him a few years back as a baby at a flea market. My nieces named the poor thing Sponge Bob Square pants. Recently she’s realized that she just does not have the money nor the time to care for him, and so he has been passed into my care ….
And renamed Boo (the old name simply had to go).
Boo is a cutie little boy that I believe (from the research I’ve been doing) is a tortoise shell Dutch. His markings are a bit irregular, blaze not as bold and his white cuff only engulfs one leg, the other front leg is brown with a white foot. He seems to be in love with the switch in care — lots of lovely things to eat besides pellets and oh so much out time. Not a big fan of being picked up and down but boy, does he melt at the smallest of touches into a puddle of happy bunny fur. I’ve gotten a kick out of coming home to someone who prances immediately for my attention!
(Exhausted after lots of play time!)I look forward to meeting new friends and learning more on how to better take care of the latest addition to my furry family (which includes one cat who has learned since kittenhood to play nice with other animals, three rats, and one old biddy of a cockatiel who is turning 19 this year!). It’s a zoo, but it’s a very happy one!
As for me — I’m a bit of a geek. I work at a bookstore. I adore video games (GuildWars Junkie). I sew. I knit. I graduated with a BFA, emphasis on illustration. My next project on the agenda, however, is constructing a cardboard bunny club house.

They are absolutely adorable! I’ve had him for a few weeks now and I am in love with being a bunny mummy! There is a huge likelihood that when I am a few pets less, there might be another in my future. I love my rat girlies but the sad thing is that their life span is so short that it’s heart breaking to only have them for a few years.
For now I shall only whimper when I see the sweet baby bunnies and keep moving on. I’m at my pet limit for now, Boo has topped it off quite nicely.

Welcome to you and Boo. Glad you stumbled here, it’s a great site. Lots of other knitters/sewers/gamers/readers/geeks and general dorks abound. I say this affectionately and class myself in the geek/dork genre.
Boo is bootiful! *roll eyes at self* I must say though, sponge bob is a rather cute name!

Welcome! I adore Boo, he reminds me of my Moose, although Moose is black/dark greyish and white. Dutches are adorable.
