Hi guys! I’m a new bunny mom here. We have been prepping for our entry into the realm of bunny owners since September and just brought our babies home last week. I’m already in love and I’m so glad to have them in my life. It has been a very difficult year for my family and just having these adorable little distractions has helped so much. I feel like it’s the first sunshine we’ve had in forever. 

Anyway, our babies are both 3 months old. Bennigan (Benni) is a holland lop and is already neutered. Lucy is a lionhead mix, and like SCARY smart. Holy moly this girl can figure out anything it’s kind of nuts. She also does the best binkies. I have a feeling she’s going to be a LOT of bunny for a first time owner but I’m so in love with her sassy little self. We have an appointment to have her spayed in early Feb. Benni in contrast is so sedate and sweet and I love how he head bobs when he approaches me. 

Neither of them are letting me really touch or interact with them that much yet but I got some good nose bumps today while I lay on their carpet with them. My son is 4 years old and remarkably good with them for his age. He “reads” them a bedtime story at night. They have not yet managed to eat the book.

I am having a hard time getting good pictures but I’ll attach two I snapped today. I think they’re the most beautiful buns on earth. 

Does anyone remember Leo the Lop? It was a Serendipity book, this series of kind of hippyish picture books that I LOVED as a child. Benni reminds me of Leo.

Thanks very much! He is such a hunk. He’s next to me now munching on his first red lettuce. We moved the table out of the former dining room new bunny room and they have so much floor space now. I’m pretty sure Lucy has the power of levitation when she binkies.
