Healthy treat suggestions?

I have been searching for some munchie ideas for the buns! What do your rabbits enjoy as a treat every once in a while? I have heard of rabbit owners who provide other types of grasses and hays on special occasions? What would some of you reccomend as of brand wise?

I give my girl some carrots or celery. She loves the celery when it has water on it. I also have some organic shortbread orange-strawberry bunny treat that she loves, but those should only be a reward! (:

The treats that I give to my bunnies are Oxbow Barley Biscuits, Oxbow Simple Rewards Baked Treats or SMAKS treats. Those are all sold in the BB store here as well as various online sites and PetSmart carries Oxbow products. Small pieces of fruit, like apple or pear make good treats too, along with carrot pieces. Any treats should be given in moderation. Most rabbits do enjoy different hay varieties. Oxbow has several types of hay. American Pet Diner and Small Pet Select are good brands too.

My buns mostly get cookies (Oxbow has a lot of great cookie-type treats. And my buns LOVE all of them). And fruit is a tasty natural treat. My buns love bananas, pear, pineapple and apple. And my bunnies like Oxbow Oat Hay for variety.

I don’t give my bunnies treats. I just feed them pellets twice a day and veggies 3 times a day. No fruits. But you all are making me feel guilty!!! I have dehydrated bell pepper in the past, and my bunnies love the concentrated flavor of dehydrated veggies. I added dried hibiscus flowers to their food once a week. Perhaps that is a treat. They reall like the dehydrated veggies though. Nice strong flavor.

I don’t buy any rabbit treats. I do veggies as treats. She gets her normal leafy greens. But as a treat I give handfuls of baby lettuces which she really loves or a little piece of carrot or other veg. Sometimes a little piece of fruit, like apple or banana. Really, she seems to think anything is a treat if she doesn’t get it often. Even if it’s just a leafy green. If it’s not one she gets often, she treats it like it’s something special. She will stand up and beg and turn in a circle for those treats too.

I also give my Coco Oxbow Barley Biscuits and Simple Rewards Treats. But, I also offer him some fresh fruits and veggies such as apples, carrots, bananas (occasionally), raspberries, strawberries, and grapes.
