I found my snugglebun outside of my room. Searched for his owner. So now a have a sweet little bun bun. The first three weeks were amazing! Now…. He runs around my feet, makes a chirping sound, stomps and then sprays me. I have no idea what this means! I plan on getting him fixed in hopes the spraying will stop.

        Any advice?

Thank you for taking this little bunbun in!

It sounds like he is courting you. It’s really a text-book description of bunny courtship – circling your feet, following you around, making sounds and spraying you. The thumping probably means he’s a bit impatient with you because you don’t respond to his efforts. He might resort to nipping you as well. He’s in luuuv! Getting him fixed will take care of it.

Not much else but having him fixed will help, I’m afraid. A bunny in love becomes obsessed with the object of his desire (in your case, you). My first bunny fell in love with my German Shepherd dog and wouldn’t leave her alone. I had him neutered, it all went away after 1-2 weeks.

Oh thank you so much. I love him as well. But it’s just tiring having him sneak attack spray me. Haha.

And if I get him fixed will he stop hopping around my feet and chirping? He is so adorable when he does it ???

He will most likely stop hopping around your feet and chirping. It really is adorable, but it is all about sex drive. Neutering won’t make him stop love you though and he’ll still be coming for cuddles, Some grown up neutered/spayed buns follows their owners around, and then it’s about love and companionship, not procreation.

The circling can be cute, but the spraying is not, so I think neutering is the way to go! Sometimes circling leads to the bun nipping your feet and ankles though… That is also not cute!!! Ouch!

Yep, hormonal behaviour and a neuter should solve it all, including the spraying. Bandit started circling and honking my feet about a week before his neuter, and I was sad to see that behaviour go because it was cute. However after learning about delicious treats and learning the sound of the treat containers, he would come running and circling my feet whenever he thought I had a treat.

Ditto what everyone else says. I just want to add that when you get him neutered, it may not stop right away — it may take 4-6 weeks for the hormones to die down.
