Bear ate a zip tie at some point recently. I think it was today. He’s been eating, drinking, and playing but I’m still really nervous. Do you think he’ll be okay? He ate about 2.5 inches of one. I think he thought it was a piece of hay or something

For some reason, rabbits are really attracted to plastic like that. And rubber!

He should be ok. Really encourage lots of hay. Put it in a few extra spots along with extra bowl of water. You can even stuff some in a toy or cardboard roll.

If you wanted, you could delay when you give pellets by a few hours so that he goes for hay in the meantime. If he’s avoided hay, I’d give pellets at normal time so he at least a gets some fibre into him.

Basically, the more large fibre particles, the quicker things will pass through his gi tract.

Update: a few days have passed and Bear is perfectly fine! Eating, drinking, pooping, peeing, and playing! I’ve cut all the “tails” off the zip ties holding his pen together. Fingers crossed this never happens again lol
