In the spring I was planning on planting a assortment of hay for my buns, could I just feed it fresh to them as grass like I would my regular hay or do I have to dry it?

You can feed it fresh, just introduce it slowly like you would any new fresh veggie. My buns loooove fresh grass!

I think the bulk of the diet should still be dried grass though.

So, assuming I don’t put any chemicals in the grass, I can go outside and mow the lawn and feed the grass trimmings to my rabbits?

I wouldn’t because of the oil and gases and such that come from the lawn mower. You best bet is to go outside and hand trim it

No, you can’t just mow a bunch of grass and save it to feed your buns. The grass clippings are fermenting and cause mega tummy upsets in horses so I imagine they would be dangerous, possibly even more so to bunnies.

I agree, the fresh grass will be great As mentioned do not mow it to feed it, it must be cut by hand with scissors or similar. The heat from the engine of the mower and from being cut at speed causes them to ferment very quickly and causes all sorts of gut issues.
