Oh guys, I just want to pour out some emotion.

A week ago I lost a gorgeous horse I shared called Jazz, a handsome haflinger x cob. I posted a pic of him last night, and have a couple of comments saying how handsome he was.

Today during lectures I received a call from the owner of the horse I have shared for the past few months, Spots. He was a 24 year old ex race horse, and taught me so much, I even did my first jumps on him. She said he was being put down today at 3, and could I get to the yard to be with him. He had gone lame and there was nothing they could do, it was kinder for him to go.

Rest in peace Spots, I cant believe you are gone. Thankyou for everything you taught me, I will never ever forget you. Gallop free sweetheart, fly as high as the clouds let you.

        xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hugs Anna – so sorry you are having a horrible October. It hurts us when our fur babies are ill or pass on. Stay strong.

Losing two horses so close… I am so sorry. May Jazz and Spots graze together across rainbow bridge until you can see them again. (((((hugs)))))

This is just terrible, Anna. My heart goes out to you. Horses are some of the greatest creatures I have ever had the pleasure of working with or getting close too. They understand so much and even the misunderstood ones always manage to snag my heart.

I lost my horse when I was 16. The pain gets easier but you definitely never forget them. <3

Thanks Tanlover, it’s always a comfort to hear of someone else’s experience. I have a large section of his mane which I have sent off to be made into a keyring with beads, charms and his name on it, it should arrive on Tuesday. Will post a picture of the finished product, I think it will really help me to have a keepsake, and not just his mane sitting in my room.

I’m sorry about your horse, it is one of the worst things. They are such beautiful, loving creatures. I cannot quite believe yet that I will never kiss his nose, or hug him around the neck again.

So sorry AnnaW. Heartbreaking. My thoughts are with you. Wishing you peace and comfort in knowing that Jazz and Spots are now together. ?
