› FORUM › THE LOUNGE › Have you gs seen the movie Paranormal Activity?
I’ve heard some people got out of the movie CRYING
OMG is it that SCARY????? I mean one of my guilty pleasures is watching A Haunting on the Discovery Channel and I HAD to stop watching those episodes cause I was getting pretty freaked out![]()
Have you seen it? Or know anyone who’s seen it?
I’ve been requesting it-I can’t WAIT to see it !!
Dave says it’s probably not that scary-but he wasn’t even scared by the hills have eyes-whereas I slept in my living room with lights on for two weeks…
I LOVE scary movies ![]()
OOH It’s open in one theatre here-I just asked Dave-we’re going tomorrow !!
I have not seen it. I would actually be afraid to do so. Maybe I’ll send my sister and her boyfriend to go see it. I think it’s amazing that it was shot for $15,000 and has made over $20 million! Just goes to show that big budgets don’t make good movies!
OMG pleasee post after you watch it!!!!! I so wanna see it but I’m easily scared with paranormal stuff O_o
KytKattin- so true! AND my hubby sent his sister and her boyfriend to watch it yesterday and after they saw it, she called my hubby to insult him (as a joke obviously) and he joked “Don’t sleep with your feet out of the blanket tonight!” (cause he only saw the previews) and she’s like “I HATE YOU!, never recommend me a movie again!” LOL
That movie is FREAKY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw it with friends on Saturday night. Seriously I shuder just thinking about it. I screamed SO loud during one part, It’s a awsome movie, I loved it, but it’s scary. Very Very scary. I’m not a chicken, I like watching all those Ghost shows. But this movie takes the cake.
If you do see it though, don’t see it at night. Driving home we jumped at EVERYTHING! I slept in my older brothers room that night, becouse every little noise freaked me out. Seriously I’m not extrating (sp?), it really freaked me out. It is a great movie though, the way it was filmed makes it look like it had a huge budget.
Dang it-I’m going to go bargain with Dave to see if he’ll go with me to the late showing tonight…im so excited now!!!
Have fun K&K
I hope you like it.
BAH!! No go–we’re going tomorrow…said he was too tired to go
I’ll let you all know tomorrow how it goes!! ![]()
I haven’t seen it yet but I am going to… I am a huge horror anything fan but know a few people who have seen it one didn’t sleep the entire night afterward unless the lights were on lol
I scare far too easily to go see this movie. I watched Jeepers Creepers at a friend’s house one summer and headed home around 10 or so. Since it was only about a mile and summer I walked everywhere, in my small town it wasn’t a big deal to be out alone at night. Well I get to the block before my house which is a cemetary and start seeing things. Then suddenly I hear someone in the cemetary whistling the song Jeepers Creepers. I ran like my life depended on it. I swear when my friend caught up with my I wanted to kill him. That song creeps me out to this day. I’ve heard this movie scares the pants off the most hardened horror film fans. I’m going to have to pass.
im not goin!
i’m a big horror movie buff and all my other horror movie buff friends said its not very scary.
but i’m still going to see it ![]()
I’m intrigued and would like to see it, but hubs is totally not a scary movie person. Ah well. Maybe I’ll be able to see it with a friend some time.
I am the kind of person to stay up with lights on, get scared and hear things, and generally freak out. BUT to me it’s like roller coaster rides are to other people-scary but fun!
The only movies that really gave me a good fright lately : hillls have eyes &Midnight meat train…just found the others to be either gory or predictable ![]()

oops sorry! I can;t find the place where the siggy goes
I’m confused
Sadly this movie was totally unscary. I’d let children and grandmothers see it! It was ‘blair witch’ style with absolutely no scare. Didn’t even have cheesy startle moments.
My guess-those freaked out audience members in the trailer. either paid actors or they saw another movie
Two boo’s from me ![]()
Went and seen this last night. Complete disappointment… There were a few screamers in the theater but I was just bored out of my mind! I did jump at one or two spots nearing the end but that was about it. The ending was just all kinds of messed up though (I won’t spoil it) lol And I had to drive 2 hours to see it! Ugh
I have never heard of this movie , Paranormal activity , but I LOVE scary movies so we are going to keep an eye out for it when it is released in Australia!!!
Saw 6 comes out here today, I am so excited we are going to see it tonight! Has anyone else seen it? We love the Saw Movies, and watched “Scream Queens” on Foxtel, and were happy that Tanedra won (sp?), but I heard that when they premiered the movie, it was so gross and gruesome that 2 of the actors had to walk out of the premiere because they couldnt handle it, and they had been in 4 of the other Saw films. So this one must be pretty gory.
Nobody else thought it was scary? It really freaked me out, guess I’m more of a chicken than I thought lol. Oh well.
Kafrm- Saw creeps me out. I HATE clowns, so that one dude with the red cheeks ( I can’t rember his name) freaks me out. The rest of it dosn’t scare me, just that one dude. But I thought there wasn’t going to be any more Saw movies. What happened in the last one? I thought the clown dude died?
He supposedly died at the end of number 3 (I think it was anyway), but the beauty of Saw is that there are so many twists and turns, all of the “scenarios” with all the people he has kidnapped, are happening at the same time (or relatively close together)
so 2 of the movies can be happening at the same time, so Jigsaw can be kept alive.
And he is survived by Amanda, (from number one, didnt find out she was involved until end of number 2), so she can carry on in any way she wants . There is one more coming out. Saw 7. but its not being filmed until january so they are bringing out Scream Queens 2 to find a new star for it. !!!!!
He might be dead in this one though, this might be set after number 5, because I just read the plot and its all very exciting!!!
Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw’s legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw’s grand scheme is finally understood.

Bah htat sucks, was gonna go see it, but I honestly couldn’t stand the Blair Witch thing. I’m sorry, but staring at the ground when running away from who knows what isn’t my idea of a scare. Ahh well.
i agree with K&K. i just saw it- majorly lame. its a cross between the exorcist and blair witch project. the idea of it is scary, but the actual film isn’t.
Yeah pretty much an hour and half of watching someone sleep -so lame!! :p
