Have you ever used toddler bed mats in your bunnies cage/condo, its like the mats they give you in hospital sometimes and you can get ones for toddlers they basically soak up urine pretty well. I decide to try to use one out of my son’s packet, bcoz my little boy has been dry through the night for a while so they kinda goin to waste, so i tried it to see if my bunny would rip it to shreads and it would just create more mess, and in fact she doesnt chew it at all as i put her blanket over the top, bcoz she seems to be missing her litter box a lot lately so cleaning her out was getting messy, and these bed mats are doing the job brilliantly hardly any mess and she doesnt chew them ! hah! result!

I have thought about using them, but I would be worried my rabbits would chew on them. They are similar to the puppy training pads right? Be very careful with them as they do pose a risk if ingested. I remember when my sister had chihuahua puppies one of the future owners brought some over but we said we couldn’t use them because they can not only block the intestine, but some often have some sort of absorbent stuff like a diaper that would probably really mess up the insides of a puppy (so just think of what it could do to a rabbit!). So I’m not saying to not use them, just do be very careful and keep and extra close eye on her eating/stool habits.

well I dont know if you have seen my post in the forum about day to day stuff, but she has ripped it up now because she is trying to move it, Sarita has advised me that its sounds like a false pregnancy thing , so i’ve took out the bed mat and just left her with a blanket for now, before today though ive used them for about a week so she has had 2 and not chewed them at all. It is probably bcoz she is in the spare room and she has a big double mattress to chew on lol !
