Has anyone ever seen the movie “The Christmas Bunny” ??? I know it sounds like a really lame title, but its actually a wonderful family film and makes me cry! haha If you have a child’s heart like mine (I still love Disney movies, no matter how old I get) then this is a wonderful movie that addresses bunnies needing lots of care and love. It was on netflix around christmas time, though I doubt it is still there. I just wanted to share this great family movie, seeing as it has to do with bunnies (not entirely, I mean, there is other core themes in it too).

I saw it over christmas break and loved it! It really promotes good bunny keeping, despite the rabbit picking up by the scruff, but other than that, I adored the movie! And loved the rabbits!!

It made me so mad, that scene with the boys taking the rabbit… I dont want to give it away… but I was holding my breath and cursing at them and and just wanted to cry “Save the bunny!!”

I watched it with DH a couple weeks ago. It was actually much better than I expected, but quite depressing! I didn’t expect it to be so dark.

That’s true! And the bunny was certainly cute. What was his name again? Rumple?

I saw this link on their FB page and thought it was interesting:

I have not seen the movie.

That is great Sarita! I feel better about those bunnies now! My dad was flipping through the netflix and saw that and said, oh hey I bet you would like that, I said, yeah already saw that dad. hahaha
But it is quite dark! I was very surprised, when I think bunnies I think happiness and cute little critters! It’s definitely a movie for those thinking of owning a rabbit and never have though, with the dad getting frustrated about the furniture chewing and such, definitely a good education movie! You never see movies like that, that promote good rabbit keeping practices! Quite a refresher.

I got it for Christmas but actually haven’t watched it yet. It’s on my “to do list”.

I absolutely loved that link Sarita! Its nice to know that there are people who can admit that they are wrong without trying to be overly defensive. I’m glad they addressed the scruffing instead of being all defensive and offended. This makes me have so much more respect for this movie now that I read that.

Even though there were some oversights in the movie (like the scruffing thing) I could tell they were really trying to do the responsible thing and give the best information they could. I’m glad they were willing to come out and state that some of the things they showed were wrong – it just shows how thoughtful the producers really were.

                                 I LOVE THAT MOVIE!

It was actully filmed in the “Critter Barn” which I’ve been to.

And we got to watch the movie at this church and the critter barn and a bunch of rabbits including Rumple were there.

Also “Julia” the little girl in the movie was there.

I love the sence at the end where they look down and Rumple is eating his poop.

I would reccomend it to anyone, especially if your a bunnylover.

It’s a great movie, pretty appropriate for families.

                                It’s a MUST SEE!

The only thing I don’t like is how the cover of the movie shows that bunny, but the bunny Rumple was a completely different looking bunny in the film, like he has floppy ears and is spotted lol

Yeah, I was kind of confused about that too.
