Ok so here is what happened. When both buns are out playing we have a 4ft fence that divides the livingroom and the kitchen. Sally gets the kitchen, and Harley gets the living room. WELL I thought I could trust my husband to watch Harley while I took a shower.

When I come back I notice Harley is no where to be found. I asked hubs, “hun, where’s the rabbit?” he goes, “ohhhh, i dunno….”

Walk to the kitchen and I find Harley just lounging all splayed out on the floor and Sally at the water hole. They were just kind of…coexisting? So I snapped a picture and being the bad bunny parent I was stayed in there for another 20 minutes allowing Harley and Sally a play date.

They didn’t really do much but I got a few pics and then put Sally away and let Harley continue his exercise. I cannot believe he was able to jump a 4 ft fence!! Here are some pictures I caught last night and NOW I really need to get Sally’s spay scheduled because that would be horrible if he was able to impregnate her. He is 4 weeks post neuter but still…it makes me paranoid.

        lots of marking poops!

they were tag teaming the book.

They just seemed to co exist.

No one groomed anyone and they didn’t really get all that close to each other either. Harley hopped up to Sally and she just layed her head down and he sniff sniffed and hopped away doing some more exploring and pooping EVERYWHERE claiming territory I guess. Looks like Sally went into her cage and pooped everywhere on the floor too. But they are separated again.

I hope this is a good sign that bonding them in a months time will go smoothly and easily…

Harley certainly seems happy! I can’t wait for them to be bonded properly

            Oh dear

Harley just seems to make himself at home with anyone. People, dogs, bunnies…
It’s like he’s nudging you to get Sally’s op out of the way.

I don’t see you having much trouble with these two bonding.

What a good looking pair! Sounds like you’ll have an easy time bonding them.

I once had a little Netherland who got into another rabbit’s enclosure and he was just fine having her there – I caught her eating his greens and just decided if they wanted each others company they could stay together so hopefully this will happen with your two.

This title scared me for a second. Relieved to hear that Harley is neutered and almost out of the clear for the having babies things.

They will make a cute couple. I agree that you’ll probably have an easy bond, you lucky duck. That is baring that Sally doesn’t have a multiple personality attack after her spay. (not very common- didn’t want to scare you)

I scheduled Sally’s spay today! It’s for next Tuesday! And then in a months time Harley and Sally won’t have to be sneaking in play dates and they can be together forever! Lol

I hope after her spay she still likes him. Poor Harley would be heartbroken!

Awww, I hope Sally’s personality doesn’t change after getting fixed. They are totally flirting with each other right now hah! Harley must be really strong to jump over a 4 ft. fence… how awesome would it be to catch that happening?

I’ve seen him try to attempt jumping it but he never succeeded. He got close… But not close enough! I guess practice makes perfect! Now that he can jump the fence and he knows it they have to have separate outside times which means less play time for both buns! So now Sally gets mornings and Harley gets evenings. They each get about 5 hours of free time this way and Sally can come into the living room and say hi to Harley through the bars and Harley can go to the kitchen and say hello to Sally through the bars lol
