Ok so here is what happened. When both buns are out playing we have a 4ft fence that divides the livingroom and the kitchen. Sally gets the kitchen, and Harley gets the living room. WELL I thought I could trust my husband to watch Harley while I took a shower.
When I come back I notice Harley is no where to be found. I asked hubs, “hun, where’s the rabbit?” he goes, “ohhhh, i dunno….”
Walk to the kitchen and I find Harley just lounging all splayed out on the floor and Sally at the water hole. They were just kind of…coexisting? So I snapped a picture and being the bad bunny parent I was stayed in there for another 20 minutes allowing Harley and Sally a play date.
They didn’t really do much but I got a few pics and then put Sally away and let Harley continue his exercise. I cannot believe he was able to jump a 4 ft fence!! Here are some pictures I caught last night and NOW I really need to get Sally’s spay scheduled because that would be horrible if he was able to impregnate her. He is 4 weeks post neuter but still…it makes me paranoid.
lots of marking poops!
they were tag teaming the book.
They just seemed to co exist.
No one groomed anyone and they didn’t really get all that close to each other either. Harley hopped up to Sally and she just layed her head down and he sniff sniffed and hopped away doing some more exploring and pooping EVERYWHERE claiming territory I guess. Looks like Sally went into her cage and pooped everywhere on the floor too. But they are separated again.
I hope this is a good sign that bonding them in a months time will go smoothly and easily…
