Happy Friday – any weekend plans?

I’m helping at the guinea pig rescue Saturday.

Sunday is cleaning and laying around the house day.  Maybe I’ll try to get my lazy self to a garden store and look at Japanese Maples – I have a very large container I’m thinking about planting a Japanese Maple in.

I actually have a busy weekend for the first time since my knee surgery.
Tonight I’m dehydrating fruit for our new bunny girl and will finish bunny proofing the house before we go to bed.
Tomorrow morning we go pick up our bunny! Tomorrow night I’m rebuilding our desktop with my husband so it will run faster.
Then on Sunday, I found a farmer that’s selling timothy hay bales for $2.50. So, we’ll be picking up a few of those.

I am spending the weekend doing absolutely nothing. I will lounge on the couch with a cup of tea or coffee, watch the bunnies play, maybe play something on the computer, lounge some more, feed the bunnies delicious nommies, lounge some more…

I have no plans as of yet. Except to get chinese food sometime this weekend. lol I’ve been craving it. I also need to clean but who knows how much of that will get done.

I’m in a giggly mood today, since reading all of BB posts.

I came home from work around 2:30 after working out. I did some weights and I went onto a stair master for the first time in my life. I was dripping sweat in 10 minutes! I was scared of tripping off the stair master so I was always looking down. I will do that for now on, along with another cardio machine. I like mixing things up.

I’m not sure what I’m doing this weekend. I need to get my internet fixed (I’m using someone else’s connection in the apartment complex somewhere) SO I can research schools. I don’t wanna use someone elses connection.. Ugh. I really want to get some reading done of the book I’m currently into called “The Emperor of All Maladies: A biography of Cancer.”

I’m going to treat myself and order a pizza how come pizzas don’t come in medium sizes anymore? I dont eat all that much!

Ah, so you got the book? I haven’t been in to B&N in a while due to all my vet bills, but when I get above water again I need to pick up a few.
Seriously thinking about a Nook, just so I can get larger type and don’t have books cluttering up my space.

I’m still finishing my tax preps. I was supposed to have that in the mail this week. My accountant is going to rip me a new deduction come Monday.

Sarita, I love the idea of a Japanese maple! We had one at my childhood home. It was murder to keep beetles and other tree-killers away from it each year, but it was such a lovely tree!
We also had a giant jade plant that was 6 feet high and about 5 feet across in all directions. I think it was planted in an old wine bucket. ^_^

No plans yet, but I think  going to the animal shelter would be fun! Should ask if someone will take me tomorrow. We don’t have many small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs, but we have about 50 cats and I am not sure how many dogs.

I had maple syrup on my whole wheat waffles this morning.. ah. I love whole wheat.

Oh! Yes Mimz! I’ve been kind of slow reading the book. I spent an hour and a half reading it.. the pages are really long so it takes me a while to turn the page (I’m kind of a slow reader), but I’m ENJOYING IT! I bought it off of amazon, so it is 15 dollars cheaper!

Awwww Sarita!! You volunteer on top of all the bunnies? WOW!!! I just got Norman a new piggie friend and am lol’ing that I have pigs AGAIN!! Give the pigs a rub behind the ears and if you have any piggie tips I’d love to hear them! It’s been years since I’ve had them!

Weekend plans…yuck. Have to work. No overtime…nope health care pay cuts yeah…Get to go in for time back…probably never too busy! Hopefully not both days-hopefully I drag my butt in early enough that I can get it all done tomorrow. We are putting on a conference next week and I was asked to help as the admin person doing it is frustrated. No kidding because it’s to the wire time and no decisions made. STressful…and I’m preparing for a conference in Calgary-just the presentation not the conference stuff…but oh man busy. Could cry!!!

We went to a dinner theatre tonight, for a social club work function though! That’s always a blast A little awkward because it’s a huge org with thousands of employees so it’s not like you know everyone, but the dinner theatre is so much fun-incredible singing. And it was Mama Mio-so lots of Abba YEAH! lol

Also planned this weekend-nail clipping, hair cuts, pig and dog baths. Hopefully will get my butt on the eliptical too

I love Japanese maples, Sarita!

I’m in DC for the weekend visiting one of my best friends with DH and another good college friend. We’re just hanging out for now waiting for the last person to get out of the shower so we can head downtown. Cherry blossom time!

My internet is going poo poo (i’m using another person’s network. .shhh!!!!!) so my friend and his girlfriend are coming over tonight to fix it. I think we need a new router. It has been 2 years and who knows how long those things last.

Hmm, well I had a busy Saturday. I went to an admitted law student day that lasted from 8-4 (it was supposed to last longer, but I really didn’t need a housing tour for a city that I live in). It was fun, but it’s amazing how old people only three years younger than you can make you feel sometimes. lol. I don’t know if there are any 30 Rock fans here, but if so, that scene were Liz tells Cerie that she needs to dress like she has parents and was raised in some kind of shame based American religious tradition. I felt like Liz all day seeing how some of the girls decided to dress for a professional activity that was listed as business casual. Animal prints skirts with patent leather boots mgith be cute outfit for a night out with friends, not so much business casual/prove to some people that you’ll be a competent professional someday. Then my boyfriend and I went out for dinner and martinis. So today is a day of vegging out, maybe eating some chinese food, and watching bunnies be cute. Maybe I’ll manage to get some homework done in there somewhere, maybe. Or maybe I’ll just go to class and say my bunnies ate my homework! They certainly have before. ahem Spencer ahem.

I was going to have a lazy weekend, but now I must go shopping. I organized my jewelry supplies last night, and discovered I have absolutely zero purple beads. Which sucks, as I have a gorgeous purple butterfly pendant. So… to the bead store I go The horror!

Relaxing weekend at last, yay! I feel like I got so much done yesterday…went to teach piano for two hours in the morning, stopped by the mall (and found the CUTEST panda t-shirt I just had to buy), took a nap, tutored chemistry for two hours, trip to the indoor rock climbing gym, grocery shopping and out for dinner, then party at night. Phew! Usually, all I do on Saturdays is lay in bed with my laptop pretending to work and procrastinating while surfing the web, lol. Today has been much less productive…woke up late and tutored physics for a few hours. 

Kate Monster, I know what you mean about the clothing…all the guys at medical school interviews were in suits, and the vast majority of the girls had a suit jacket and either dress pants or skirts as well. But once in a while I would see something completely different and kind of inappropriate IMO. My favorite was a poofy blue skirt with a tank top and knee-high boots…wtf? lol.

Errmmm….yes….I took two on my ipod but my camera memory stick is full and I’m waiting for Dave to buy a new one I am basically cameraless right now! (Yes I know I could delete the pics but I don’t trust photobucket or cd’s…I keep full memory cards… )
