well ok it’s not technically my birthday yet… a coupe days. but, well, most of you know that i work at petsmart and today the humane society came. normally they don’t bring bunnies but they brought one today because another family wanted to look at this one. (y’all sooo know where this is going ).  anyways, i was bagging fish for people and i heard someone mention that we had a bunny in the adoption room! so naturally i ran to my boss & asked for my 15. and this other lady was holding him, so i waited my turn and guys, i fell in love. he’s the sweetest thing. he’s not neutered (our humane society doesnt neuter bunnies ) yet but of course i will get him fixed. he’s probably a year old, and a brown and white dutch i lost my camera cord, but i will post plenty of pictures tonight or tomorrow. anyways, he’s such a sweetie. no name yet, because max and penny are both named after beatles songs, so i want to continue the trend, but i already have “jude” reserved for my first child (lol) and no other ones jumped out at me. i’m open to suggestions!!

well i let him out of the cage today! i penned max and penny and then built another little pen for me and the new boy
i’m currently laying down with new boy and max trying to get at each other through the pen! lol
every once and a while new boy will jump on my back- which let me tell you, reminds me to clip his nails! ouch!!! i don’t think the shelter did it at all because they’re like talons. anyways, i’m not going to do any bonding of any kind until new boy gets neutered- which should be next week. when i get paid next friday i will make an appointment. and peeee-ewww i forgot how stinky unneutered boys are!! :p

it seems like new boy is also grunting a little when he runs. he’s not being aggressive, just grunting away. should i be worried about a sinus problem or is it just him being an unneutered boy?

I LOVE the Beatles! I think it is so cool that your buns’ names are Beatles inspired. The suggestions you have gotten so far are great. I would totally vote for Harrison or Rigby. I think they both absolutely scream Beatles!.

I have a very grunty and vocal Dutch and he’s older and neutered. So it could be the fact he isn’t neutered but he could just be a vocal rabbit. Nevertheless, a full check-up from the vet would be a very good idea.

I think the grunting is just hormonal, just by the way he was running I could see he was hormonal because he was running with his tail up -that is what thistle did running around me. Thistle would run around me with his tail up while ‘honking’ (grunting), and then it would end with him humping my leg :/

He is very cute! I love dutches! I vote for the name Rigby! but you could also call him eggman- from ‘I am the eggman…’

well tonight max and new boy (harrison, rigby or ringo ) broke through the nic cube fence. i was using the bathroom and i could hear them jiggling the fence and when i got back, new boy was humping max!! new boy isn’t neutered yet so i had a lovely substance to clean off of max. gross. there were some tufts of new boy’s hair on the ground (max has been trying to nip him through the fence), but no injuries. then once i fixed the fence, they did it again! this time i was right there and got em apart, but goodness gracious they both want to meet each other so badly. but that is sooooo not going to happen lol

this may seem vulgar to some people but i thought i would post a picture of new boy laying down because his man parts are clearly visible- for those who are having trouble determining the sex of their bunnies…. anyways, that’s my warning lol

aw my maxy pad (my mom thinks this particular nickname is totally gross, but whatever lol). he is adorable. i wish i could bond with penny like i did with max. i think when i got pen pen i was too preoccupied with bonding her with max that i forgot to work on bonding the two of us. maybe i’ll do that over the summer. its possible right? to form a better relationship with her even though she’s lived with me for 7 months now? i hope so. she’s funny and she definitely loves me when i have food lol

oh i know!!! i’m horrible. it seems like every other day, penny is a boy, then a girl. HE just looks so regal and feminine…

well, guys, new boy is a houdini bun!!!! he got out while i was in class… for 3 hours!!!!!! there were tufts of max hair on the ground, but no penny hair. HE was hiding. i checked both boys over- no bites or nips. but man, they were both covered in urine! is this normal?? its almost like they were peeing directly on each other. weird. but i have seriously tied houdini’s pen so tightly that he must be jumping out.

any suggestions, for those of us with jumping buns?
