I was cuddling with my husband on the couch watching a movie tonight. Freya was just hoppin around doing what bunnies do, which means chewing everything in the room and pooping in every corner. Well, he decided that Freya should come up on the couch with us. She wasn’t thrilled at first and jumped back down. This taught her though that she can get up and down herself which she did for the next 2 hours. She doesn’t cuddle, but she climbed all over us. Her nails aren’t long enough to clip yet but they sure are sharp, we’re filing them tomorrow. I don’t mind the scratches at all, and got the most ticklish little bunny kisses when she decided to check out my lips. My husband wasn’t a fan at all of having her scratch him and made her get down off him. I’m so glad she wants to come up, hopefully she won’t decide to come chew my books when I read.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m new to bunnies or that she’s a baby, but I still think that everything she does that isn’t destructive (and some things that are) are just the most adorable things in the whole world. I find myself smiling and laughing more with her home than I remember doing before.

It’s that you are full fledged, 100% bunny slave now.
Despite the complaints about teenagers and such, you probably won’t find anyone here who doesn’t really think what they do is cute. There’s a lot of us who try to train our bunnies not to do things, only to hide behind a hand while we laugh and smile because it was just so darn funny and cute. As K&K said once, “Clothes without holes? Don’t have any.”

And while they are adorable as babies, you still think they’re just squiggy and cute at 4, 5, 8 lbs. and more. When they get old they get sort of scruffy in the fur and shaped differently, and then you just love them like a favorite childhood toy. It’s a great way to live – as a bunny slave.
