Months, and Months. Any Idea. When I comb her back there she starts chewing on my clothes or anything else in front of her. She dosn’t seem to like being brushed back there, but, more fur grows in when I do.

What’s going on. I don’t think she’s molting anymore. Her loss is much more pronounced than in the pic. A big circle of no fur, then a light bit in center, with tiny tight white balls, like the end of a Q-Tip. There are hundereds of em. Seems like they get combed out and become longer fur. I don’t know what’s going on here.

What’s her hair type? Satin, wooly,…?

            She is a Jersey Wooly.

So the new hair growths are kind of corkscrew-like? That is how Wooly’s hair looks sometimes when a large patch is growing in. I mean, I don’t see anything concerning in the picture. Wooly will have that horseshoe shaped spot on his back too. How has the weather been? Could she just be continually shedding because she’s warm?

Ahhhh yes, my basement, (My Man/Bunny cave just got a gas Fireplace installed, and I had an Eden Pure electric heater down there before that. I keep it above seventy during the day, in winter, (it’s STILL middle of Winter here, in MN. lol) So, that makes sense. So, as long as it stays warm down there, she’ll keep molting, back there?

                  It’s definitely possible.

bring her to me,, i am the wooly brushing master

it sounds like you are only brushing the surface. you need a comb to get out the undercoat. but if you have the thick bright-white mats underneath, then you already have enough fur clumped together that it is beyond just plucking. you will need to peel each clump apart until it gets to the point where it releases with relatively little plucking effort. yes this will leave really thin spots were you can see the pink skin underneath. but once you get your bun all light and billowy again, then the upkeep wont be nearly as tedious as long as you do brushing weekly

I kinda have this issue as well. Curo is shedding like crazy and he’s got these patches everywhere where it’s longer in spots and shorter in others. Do I need to brush him more to even it out?

I’m not sure if you have some sort of feed store around, but during molting, I give my Flemish Giant a little bit of calf manna and it helps his fur A LOT. He was stuck in a molt for over a month and it helped so much. But overall, it definitely helps coat condition.
