My lionhead had a bad growth  between his teeth that had to be removed back in May. The vet also removed his top left incisor. The growth was pretty severe and caused the top teeth to shift but the vet said the top right incisor did not need to be removed at that time. There has been no sign of growth for over a month and during his monthly teeth trimmings the vet said it was looking really well. I’ve made an appointment with the vet already but two days ago I noticed his gums were really swollen around that tooth and I’m not sure if it is the growth (which I do not think would have grown back in a few days) or if the tooth shifted and is causing the inflammation. I am thinking that the tooth will need to be removed.

That would be my suspicion too, that the right incisor needs removing. I don’t know if it’s wise to keep the lower incisors. We have members that have incisor-less buns, it seems to work rather well once the bun learns how to pull food into their mouth with their tongue. Until then, the bun could need support feeding with Critical Care.
