  Can they be used easily for rabbits? They are like a fleece bag with 2 holes. I was thinking a bag might work too but they seem to be a little big. (Ok back to topic) I’m wondering if they are safe? Lily is a selective fleece chewer/scratcher meaning she will do it but if you offer like a dig box and a good bit of other toys then she won’t mess with it but that’s on the ground of her cage. They just look super cute and her current hay rack she doesn’t even use so I’ve just replaced it with a bowl next to it (large dog bowl) and a toilet paper roll in her litter box.

  As long as they can pull out large amounts of hay i see no problem with it it would concern me if they couldn’t and might choose not to eat because they hay is too much work. None the less give it a try and see what happens

  I tried this with my fussy one – he won’t eat hay if it’s work and he pulls hay out and pees on it if too easy… I needed a inbetween. The bag didn’t work for us. He pulled it out too easy and it was everywhere in seconds. I have finally after many attempts found two options that work
  1. A shower caddy metal with bars spaced 1inch apart hung over the litter tray
  2. The plastic clip on basic hay holders that come with most cages clipped on the outside of the cage. – I prefer this one

  See it above the litter tray ?
  It is less messy than hay out , it’s much harder for them to make a mess, easy to get to to eat , easy to refill from outside of cage, cheap to replace if I need to, can’t pee in it , and I have not had stomach issues in Oakley from not eating enough hay like I did with other feeders ( he has very sensitive stomach and can’t tolerate anything except hay and pellets and he is sensitive to reduced hay too )
  All round it’s been a easy option after all my failed attempts
