        Hi guys,

This is my first post so please let me know if I’m breaking any rules. I recently came back from a two week vacation and noticed this hard chunky growth on my bunny’s back. I’ve attached a photo. If anyone could give me a clue as to what this is, I’d be so grateful. Thank you in advance!

Welcome to BB. I’m sorry your baby is showing something distressing. I’ve inserted the picture for you. After attaching an image, you need to then insert it into your post. It’s not very intuitive, sorry about that.

While you were gone, who was caring for your rabbit and did they allow the rabbit to go outside, observe fixstee grooming there, or offer any sort of explanation for injury?

I am not experienced with seeing rabbit scars first hand, so I’m unsure if this is a healing wound, a parasitic site, or something else. A visit to a rabbit-experienced vet is always a safe choice so you have a professional assessment.

          How is your rabbit acting?

You are too kind! Thank you for inserting the image and responding. Bunny is acting perfectly normal and while I was away, my roommate was taking care of him. I don’t believe he ran around much during vacation or was grooming there in particular. I have emailed my vet and HRS to try and get a vague idea of what this might be. I just posted here hoping To figure something out. Will definitely take him to the vet soon.
