Me and Caroline have been doing great! She has been licking me, chinning me, following me EVERYWHERE! I love her so much now that she has come out of her shell! She is really food motivated and whenever I want to teach to to spin or come she is eager to learn as long as pellets are involved. I noticed she does not like to be touched a lot but does show affection. Today I ran my fingers down her back ever so slightly and there was a LOT of hair. I know she does not like when we touch her but then how will I groom her? I think I may get a friend to feed her pellets while I brush her off but I do not want to scare her to much. What else can I do that may be a better solution? Will the hair just come off eventually? Her coat is very very short and I do usually see rabbit hair on the ground, Do you think she is shedding?

I would make grooming a priority. When rabbits groom themselves they end up ingesting the hair, when the shedding gets bad it can cause digestion problems. What I would do is find a good comb or brush that works well this depends on what the rabbit will tolerate, how much excess fur, and fur type. I think a comb might work well with Carolines fur.
I also suggest puttting her favorite treat in front of her while brushing, or just do a few strokes then reward her.
But before brushing her I think the link down low from Wick a binkybunny member will really help.

Hope this helps, and congrats on your newly bonded bunny.

Ok, so I tried putting pellets in front of her and she happily ate them, I started to comb her and she grunted. I lifted the comb and tried again and she did the same thing. I tried for a 3rd time and then she left the pellets alone and grunted at me a lot so I would move back. Then she went to eat the pellets again, after that I left her alone.

Have you tried handgrooming her? This means not using a comb or brush, but just using your hand to lightly tug out fur tuffs. This is how I groom Wick.

Some bunnies just don’t like it. There’s not really anything you can do about it. In the case of grooming, medicine, or force feeding, it is very much necessary to go against their wishes. They’ll be grumpy at first, but they get over it.
