Okay, so my bunny isn’t a huge fan of affection (which I don’t mind, he was a stray so I can understand). The problem, however, is that I never get the chance to groom him because he doesn’t even like being pet that much, let alone held (he’ll run away, and if you pick him up he freaks out). He’ll let you pet him briefly after he’s run around for a while, but I’m just worried about when shedding season comes that I won’t be able to properly groom him. He is short-haired, but I know he’ll obviously still shed, and hairballs are a worry of mine. Any tips on how to get him to let me groom him?
Hey there, my buns are very fidgety, so what i do is put them on a small, high surface (small enough so it fits your bun with a bit of space, high enough so he won’t jump), give them some treats/pellets/veggies and groom them. If he starts to fidget, add some more food (not too much) or put your hand over his eyes to calm her down.
Hope this helps Xx
