NewBun is a lionhead and much fluffier than the resident lionhead. His fur seems different from the two resident buns, a bit more course; it can get soft if I pet and slick it back like 50 times in a row. Anyway, NewBun’s poo are stringy but when I brush, I use hairbuster – SaveABunny has a ton of hairbusters that I bought myself a seond one, very little fur is coming out when I brush or wet my hands and pet. With the resident buns, lots of fur come out when I brush or wet my hands. Is there something different I need to do for NewBun’s fur?

Oh. My. God. Is he the creme-tan one?! HE LOOKS JUST LIKE MY SIMBA!

Simba, one of my Lionheads, is much furrier than my other one. Granted the other is only 7 months and hasn’t gone through her first shed yet so that could be why. We have to brush Simba daily though. We use the Furminator on him but only because our Hairbuster got lost in our condo fire. And they stopped making them. I’m so jealous you have one! I would just make sure to brush him every day. If he’s like my guy (his hair and fur looks exactly the same – I’ll attach a pic below so you can see) but he sheds non-stop!

Yes, your bun looks very similar. I see he even matches with the little white on the nose and a skirt. I thought the skirt was a shedding skirt when I first saw him. Mine has very triangular ears though. How big is Simba?

The problem is, I haven’t see any fur from NewBun at all flying around. There’s so little fur it seems pointless to brush. I can brush all day and less fur is on it than one brush stroke of either of my resident buns. Wonder he needs a different brushing method.

SaveABunny has lots of brushes. I actually thought about scooping them all up and selling for a high profit. Since so many people are looking for them, I wonder if they would mail them if you paid for S/H.

He’s 3.5 lbs. Maybe 3.4 now, he lost a little weight when he went through a bout of stasis about a month or two ago.

Oh wow, that is interesting. Simba sheds A LOT. Even when you just pet him fur comes off. It wasn’t this bad when we first got him in Feb. but then he hit a shedding in the beginning of spring and has been a flying fur producer ever since.

You know… I was just thinking… someone mentioned this on another thread – check his poos… like pull them apart. Make sure it’s actually fur causing the poos to string together and not strands of hay. I think someone mentioned that could be a sign of a dental issue if they have long pieces of hay in their poo.

I would love to buy one of SaveABunny’s hairbusters for my little lionhead.

Gah, I keep brushing him and nothing comes out. I happened to have a flea comb and it was nice for getting some mats out (he only had tiny minor ones) but so little fur is coming out. Could he just not shed or licks them off? I don’t see him grooming much more than the other two though. Anytime I feel like brushing the other two, fur always comes out; could probably brush them bald if I tried.

Oh yeah, no stringy poo anymore. Maybe it was a, new to the area, poo or something =D.
