Greetings!
Two very cute bunnies now own me. The first one is called Jack. He’s a lion head mix. Second one is called Molly and idk what she is yet.
I am very new to the whole living with rabbit situation. I am very much a crazy cat lady. But now, I guess I’m more of a crazy animal lady lol.. I have 3 cats, Minette, Kissy and Popcorn. Minette was lost when I found her she had been abbandon by her owners. I’m guessing they moved away and figured she’d be fine. She was very thin and really small. I assumed a 6 month old kitten. Turned out more like a two years old mal nourished feral cat. She belonged to someone at one point, she had a collar. But she either ran away or was left behind and she made her best effort to stay alive. I was how ever not quick enough to get her spayed.. than she had babies. Kissy was in the first batch. after 1 week of breast feeding, she ran away and came back later that night…not long after that she gave birth again. then not long after than she ran away again… Then gave birth to a third batch and Popcorn was on of those kittens. Then I called my vet asking how quickly after birth can I have her spayed. Turned out right after. Wait 1 full day, put mum and kittens in a carrier and get it done… Man I wish I had known that after the first batch haha…I also have a white footed mouse (that my cats tried to kill and I saved, then tried to release but she just was not having any of it) called Mr. Bill(I have no idea if she’s male or female. But in french a mouse is a feminine word, so I call her a she…But she’s for sure a Mr. Bill, the name just fit her.) And I also have a gecko that I rescued from a terrible owner who was feeding her once a month. Poor thing looked like a twig… She’s called Ninja. Now she’s fat and happy.
But back to the bunnies.
I got Jack from a Spanish woman off the interwebs. Some random day I was lost in the youtube world and ended up on cute rabbit videos and sort of fell in love. Was a matter of time before I decided to look up getting a bunny for myself. I saw an add online about some lady trying to give away her rabbit, she says her kids had no time for it and she’s allergic. I Asked her if I could see the rabbit, I had assumed she’d send me picture. But instead she asked for my address, I thought it was a bit odd, but she said she didn’t speak good english or french (I’m from a french town) and this was easier to just meet. I agreed. Next morning she turns up, quickly remove the rabbit from the car, still in his cage. Puts it on the balcony, says that’s rabbit. She turns around and runs to her car, I assumed she forgot something in there. but she just…took off. I was like huh? wut??? wait..HEY! and she just never looked back. She didn’t even tell me his name! I was very confused and worried. I mean I didn’t know how to take care of this creature. Sure I had started to look up things online…But it’s never quite the same as having one right infront of you. And right away I knew it was the right thing. Even tho she is crazy to just leave an animal with someone you don’t even bother to try to communicate with. She did this rabbit a favor. She knew she was a $*&! owner and did the right call.
I actually filmed him the first couple of days. IDK if i’m allowed to post links to other sites… but here’s the first day with Jack

Now Molly I got on the same add website. I wanted to get a friend for Jack but the shelter in my town had no rabbits, and the one in the town next to mine has been ignoring me for months. I have no idea why they will simply not reply to my emails. So I moved on. I figured If i don’t buy my rabbit from a petshop, but from someone who’s about to give it up to the shelter, it’s the same thing as getting one from a shelter…or close enough.
Molly is a well loved bunny who’s previous owner just spoiled her rotten. She seems a little fat to me, she;s all pear shaped like. Tho it might just be because i’m comparing her to Jack. But Jack is all muscle and bones and lots and lots of hair. She’s just, no bones. i can’t even feel em lol… As of today I’ve had her for exactly one week. Jack I got in April of this year. It’s been quite the learning curve.
Jack loves my cats, but my cats find him too foward. Molly seems to share an understanding with Minette. That they are women stuck around men lol..Minette is pretty feral. But she seems to connect with Molly, but all the same. She wants distance. Respect from afar.
Anyway this is getting to be very long… So I’ll just stop here. But I shall attach pics of my bunnies.
Do forgive my english, it is a second language and far from perfect!
