Greenie times and a visit from Nadia and Tippy!

Lately friends of mine have been giving me various greens to feed to my buns – mostly stuff left over from my vegan friend’s cooking such as carrot tops, lettuce hearts, etc.  Needless to say, my buns have been loving it.  I have some pics of them enjoying themselves below.  But first I stopped over at Save A Bunny this weekend and brought Tippy and Nadia home with me for a few hours to give them some new play space.  Nadia is quite the terror and very jealous if anyone gets near her boyfriend.  I will NEVER introduce her to Maryann because either the resulting conflict will leave a two kilometer crater or else within a week we all will be ACTUAL bunny slaves. 

So they were very timid at first but once the greens came out, so did their personalities – including Nadia honking the entire time she was eating (Marcy says that is her displeased noise but I beg to differ).  First Tippy eating some greens then climbing all over me looking for more.  It was like energy to him and he was hopping all over the place for the next half hour.

Now is Nadia, enjoying her salad bits.  I had to keep it low because they’re not used to getting fresh greens so I didn’t want to take a chance of it disturbing their bellies too much:

Now, I was wondering, with all of her charging, running from me and overall temperment if she was having fun at all or if I should have just left them in their cage back at Save A Bunny.  Then Nadia gave me a full on bunny flop – which looked kinda funny due to her leg.  So here’s a pic of her, post flop with her kickstand sticking out in the air:

Oh, and a tribute to the infamous “I see bunnies everywhere” pics – this one was on the top of a gallon of latex that I use to make rubber masks with – to me, it looks like a bunny with a duck friend

That was nice to bring Nadia and Tippy over for some fun time and greens at your house…love Nadia’s flop. I bet it’s funny listening to her honk too.

Nice to get some free fresh greens for all the buns too.

That does look like a bunny although I don’t see the duck friend.

Brave Markus! ^_^ They are so adorable! How did you manage to get them there without voiding your lease?
I can’t get quite all the pix to come in yet, but the ones I do see are precious!
Nothing brings the binky out in a bunny like fresh greens! And yup…I see the bunny AND the duck…cute! ^_^

adorable!! what other veggies do your buns like?
mine is ridiculously picky. i’ve tried parsley, raddichio, turnips, carrots, carrot tops, kale…
he likes lettuce and spinach and sometimes broccoli.

Kickstand – lol. Lucky she can’t hear me.  Be great if you could have Nadia and Tippy at home permanently…but they’re not getting it too bad I dare say, having a benevolent Godfather. 

 Wonder if your vegan friend will start buying bunny specific veggies?  Rabbits have a way of wrapping people around their little “fingers”/toes.  I’ve been able to score freebie carrot tops at the fruit & veg store.  They leave them on for display then cut them off for people at the checkout. So now I ask and they are happy to hand over the ones under the counter.  Lil tip for anyone wanting to get the buns a treat.

I see bun with ducky (rubber ducky haha*snort*).    It’s a stretch but I can even see a Nethie standing up for a treat too…

   Curious minds…….what are the masks for?  I used to use silicon at a former workplace that was mixed with two parts. Is latex similar?

Nope, no trekkies. Only elfs. I only used that picture because it is from the manufacturer whose eartips I made a mold off of. Yup, I’m full o’ copy right infringement here.

I’ve tried getting my local grocery store to let me have the tops of carrots for free. They dont’ have any intention of it…if I want them, they say, I can buy the whole bunch, carrots and all.

I eat a lot of carrots… 0_o
