Hi! My name is Beth, and I’m new to this forum. My daughter got a sable point mini rex a few years ago to do 4-H, and we named him Flynn. He lived out in the garage mostly. That made me sad, so we donated him to my son’s preschool, as they were looking for a class pet. He did great there, and they did a wonderful job socializing him.
Recently the new preschool teacher decided she’d rather not have the rabbit responsibility, and they asked if we wanted him back. I said yes, of course. We brought him home, did a little reorganizing, and brought his cage inside this time. I’d like to make him comfortable here, and really have him as a pet. Our cat isn’t quite sure what to think of him yet, but the kids love him!
My brain is already working overtime trying to think up some good living arrangements for him. I’m sure I’ll be posting in the habitat threads, asking for help and ideas! I’m glad to find such a great source of information for keeping a bunny as a pet. Most people around here have rabbits as outside pets/livestock, so it’s hard finding local info and help.

Welcome! I’m so glad you decided to bring the guy in. Outdoors are no place for domestic rabbits. And you’re going to love when you see his personality develop through interacting with you. Our Bunjamin is so outgoing. It amazes our guest how he is just like a smaller version of a dog or cat. Really a combination. Anyways, ask away! We love helping! We were all new to this at one point.
