I got my first bunny today, but she has been sitting in one corner of the cage without moving or eating. She seems really shy but I’m worried about the fact she isn’t eating anything. I tried to offer some lettuce but she didn’t take it. Could she be sick? She is a 2 month old dwarf bunny.

She’s probably scared and doesn’t know if she’s in a safe place. Do you know what the breeder used to feed her? You’d want to give her as similar food as possible. She might not have eaten greens before, so she doesn’t know what it is – it’s generally recommended to hold off on greens until week 12.
If you haven’t already, give her a hideybox (upside down cardboard box with one door-hole on either side works fine) so she can hide, it makes a bun feel more secure.
If she’s used to pellets, give her a few. Serve water in a bowl because she might not know how to work a bottle.

If she doesn’t start to eat within 6-8 hours, you can syringe-feed her pellets soaked in water. If you need instructions on how to syringe-feed, let us know.
