some how both Rocky Wilbur (the soon to be big bunny!) got out of seperate cages (thank god both are boys). I open the door and go in the bun room….they are cuddeling side by side, chin over chin. So I observe for a couple of minutes being suprised no one is fighting or has gotten hurt (which I am very greatful), they groom and hump a little then go back to cuddeling. Rocky seemed so happy to have a friend. Wilbur was the one I knew I was keeping for sure and planned to bond to Rocky. I think they will be an easy bond. I have an appointment for the 30th to have both Neutered along with my neighbors boy bun Stew. they have all been more or less sharing a room with Rocky so they are getting use to eachother. Idealy it would be great if I could find the 2 girls a home together just $ wise and space wise but I’m sure I would make do, we always seem to anyways. Otherwise it will be an interesting bonding time.

That’s great news with the boys. I really hope that you can find a suitable home for the girls!

Yeh WHEW is right!!! I know there is a good chance of us keeping the girls to, i just dont know if I should put him back with the girls then try & bond the trio to Rocky or put Rocky & Wilbur as a pair then bond the pairs, what do you all think? I know everyone has said about boys being harder to bond with eachother, I think Rocky would have bonded to just about any body and Wilbur (maybe the flemie in him) being as docile as he is…I think they will be great! I am excited, I wish I didn’t have to wait a month before the hormone is out of them all, the girls still have a few months before they can be spayed and i don’t want to send them in a home without being so also (note my confusion on everthing ) But I am happy!!!

wow, what lucky break! bunnies sure will surprise you sometimes. I really would not recommend putting one of the un-neutered boys with the girls. Since you’re going to have to wait to spay the girls, it might be worth bonding the boys earlier and then later trying to bond all of them after the girls are spayed.

I did mean once the boys were neutered, I know better!!! Everyone other then the girls together have to be seperateded until after a month, appointment in for the 30th (snipp snipp). one of the girls when I let them out and Rocky is in the cage will lie by his side, the other just kinda ignores him will sniff him once in a while. I think everyone will do ok in the end.
