Hello, just joined this forum, been a bunny slave since I was 12 (now mid thirties). I’m a proud mamma of three dogs, two guinea pigs, two buns, and two young humans
.
Ginger is a beautiful Rex, a family bought a ferret and didn’t want her anymore. She’s about 7, I’ve had her two years. She was obese when I got her, but has since slimmed down and been spayed. She’s pretty shy, very gentle, and did I mention beautiful! Her mate died Smudge died in Nov at 10 yrs old.
Oscar: I knew Ginny was lonely so I started the search for a mate for her. I saw a photo of a lovely boy with big ears from a small rescue group that was holding an adoption day. He had been found outside, then taken to a shelter that was pretty full, so this rescue took him in. He is estimated to be about a year. We drove out to meet him, and imagine my surprise, he’s a little bigger than I though; a Flemish giant mix. Anyways love at first sight, we brought him home and discovered he’s a dog in a bunny suit, he’s so incredibly calm and friendly. He’s free all day upstairs (we have a beagle/basset that’s a little too interested) and has an ex pen at night. Ginger has a 36 sq foot room that my husband built for her, and of course free time out as well. So far it’s been a very slow bonding process, Ginger is very interested but Oscar usually reacts to her advances by chasing her back to her room. Not a gentlemen!
Anyways thanks for reading, I’ve very happy to have found a bunny forum
