        Ok I have been thfourh this three times now but only with males. This is my first female getting done so I started by getting things ready. is there anything different that I should do from when I had my boys done?

          She is bonded, is that correct? You definitely do not want to separate them (but you probably already know that).

          She will be much more withdrawn than your boys were immediately after the surgery – don’t fuss over her though. It’s okay if her partner does though but you want to watch to make sure he’s not being aggressive towards her.

          For the females it usually takes a full 2 to 3 days for them to return to normal. Just have plenty of fresh fragrant greens and herbs for her to entice her to eat. What I’ve found is that it may take a full 24 hours for them to recover from the anesthesia and pain meds so don’t be alarmed if right afterwards she doesn’t want to eat – she most likely won’t want to.

            Yup, be prepared for a bunny that just wants to lay around. When Olivia came home from her spay, I was so worried. I seriously thought she was gonna die! (Not trying to scare you!) They definitely need more time to recover than the boys. Make sure your vet sends her home with several days worth of pain meds.
