Getting a new bunny Wednesday!

As many of you know, I have been searching for a friend for Pablo. Welp, I think I found one! The little guys name is Spot. He is a black and white lop (I dont know what BREED of lop, ya’ll can help out when i get pics.) But he’s litter trained, has his shots and vet stuff done, but i forgot to ask if he’s nuetered. The sad thing is- he looks just like Panda. I will probably cry when I get him.

Okay so I bet your wondering how I found him.  Well I found him online and coincidentaly it was my moms friends daughters bun. lol He is supppperrrr cute! They said he is young, but don’t know exact date of birth. I will leave that up to the vet

I HOPE he is nuetered! Then I can go right to it with bonding. But if he isn’t I will have to wait and nueter him. So yep, they are both boys  lol, my boy Pablo is lounging as I type and his ears are way up listening to the typing sound

But I am going to a meeting with my mom to get him because the lady that owns the bun is coming with her mom to the meeting (My mom and her mom work at same place) so I just get him from there

They live REALLY far out in the country so we are just going to have to wait till Wednesday till the meeting …*sigh*

So I just wanted to inform you all that  I am getting a new bun!

P.s– any tips on transporting buns in car?

When I brought Usagi home I took a towel and just let him ride home in my lap with it. He kind of “burrowed” himself in it, and seemed kind of stressed, but I pet him the whole way home. You could always take a piece of lettuce, or a treat. Whenever I have Usagi in the car now if he has vegetables he seems less stressed. Hope this helps!

Never ever ever have a pet in the car without being in a carrier. Its far too dangerous, for them AND you. if there is an accident, bunny is done for, as they become living projectiles. And if they get scared, there’s nothing restraining them from launching themselves around the vehicle, possibly causing the above accident. better to be safe than sorry.

I agree with Monkeybun. In a pet carrier with a towel over it to limit scary outside travelling stuff and some tasty snacks for the ride home. Don’t forget to get a full breakdown of his diet so you know what to feed him and don’t make any sudden changes. I would phone them the day or so before hand so you can have food he is use to in the car for travelling snacks.

Okay I guess I was wrong. Bring him home in a carrier. I read somewhere just for the time they come home to let them ride in your lap, but I guess that info was wrong

When I got Lola she was way tiny (fit in the palm of your hand tiny) and I did what Usagi said and let her ride in my lap. She was too small and fragile and there was really no way she was getting free from me. Looking back I realize maybe a carrier would have been better but the baby buns are just so tiny and easy to hold. If she is older than a few weeks – carrier for sure though. And make sure he has some ventillation, I like to put the door or air holes near the air vents and make sure she is comfortable.

Last night I got a call, and the owner couldn’t make it to the meeting tomorrow. So we made plans and this morning
I picked the lil’ guy up! He is still terrified. Still isn’t eating. But he will flop when he hears music. I have been playing Celine Dion- My heart will go on all morning! He loves it! Any name suggestion would be great! I am thinking about Biscotti! :o)   Here he is!

He is very playful, he is warming up to me!

Thanks Mocha! He is VERY cute! I talked on the phone this morning and he seems to like noise very much! He will listen to everything. ESPECIALLY CELINE DION!

OMG LPT! I think that name is soo cute! Haha.. Right now he is just loungin’. From what I have heard he is 3 months old, and not nuetered. I dont even know for sure if he’s a boy, lol. He goes to the vet next week. I have already spoke to my vet Also, what time is best to get him nuetered?

Such a cute little guy! I can’t wait for more pics of him once he’s settled in.

Some vets will neuter at 3 months, while others will say to wait until 5 or 6 months. Most don’t want to do surgery while they’re super small, but otherwise it can be done any time once their testicles have descended.

He’s adorable! I was actually just noticing that Bunjamin behaves different when different music is playing. He super flops (all the way down) when I play the jewel channel on pandora but when the bf plays limp bizkit and those kinda musics he loafs instead of flopping. And he’s pretty comfortable around tv sounds, even the huge explosion sounds that usually make me jump a little.

Also, I can’t see a hiding spot in the pictures. I think it’s important to have a space where the bunny can be alone and secure. That also means that when he comes out to play, he’s doing it out of confidence. It’s character building, lol.

awww cute i would sugest puting him in a cat carrier thats what i did when i got my bunny.i placed a towl on the bottem of carrier, so it was nice a cozy for my bun bun.HAVE FUN he souds so cute cant wait to see the pics

Thanks everyone! It freaks me out a bit but he LOVES NOISE! ://
He loves the noise of the vacuum and he will chase it and lounge around where loud noises are!
He is definatly warming up to me since yesterday
